Is it coincedence that Souray and Ott salary is 4.6 and Ballards salary and cap space is 4.6 ?
- VANTEL

That would be a great deal if we grabbed those two, however Souray reminds me way too much of Salo i.e injury prone

If you look at Eager and all the idiotic penalties he took last year against us (he subsequently got benched the next game) it can cause issues. I don't think anyone is as moronic as Eager though.

He's definitely 'Best In Class' when it comes to stupidity.

The only thing nice about Brassard is he's listed as a playmaker which would be good for Kesler and Booth.

Yeah right...that's too big of a move to happen. Too much of a shake up to the team who is 1st overall. Like I've said if Kesler is gone so are the hopes of a Cup...just my opinion though.

So you don't agree with my statement? You don't think Kesler is that important to this team?

PIT 8 - TB 1

Man when that PIT offense is on their game they're one of the most exciting teams in the league to watch. Unless you're on the receiving end of course.

He is. I think we all know it. But the thought of Weber in a Canucks jersey gets me giggety every time. If MG could somehow bring him in without sacrificing the core, now that would = SC IMO.

Personally, if we were going the trade Kesler route, I'd rather use him, Raymond, Schneider, Tanev and our first for Tampa Bay and see if we can't get Hedman/Stamkos for him. Then we bring up Lack and Reinprecht and our lines would be:

Sedin Sedin Stamkos
Higgins Hodgson Booth
Hansen Reinprecht Burrows
Malhotra Lapierre Bitz/Weise/Duco

Bieksa Hamhuis
Edler Hedman
Ballard Salo
Rome
Alberts

Luongo
Lack

Lack has had an average year on the Wolves and would not be a good call up for the playoff pressure so we need another goalie. I am not sure about Reinprecht being a 3 rd line center. I would give that to Lapierre, which could drive some teams nuts as a shut down line.

Remember, we're just dreaming here, it'll never happen in reality Or here's an even BIGGER pipe dream... Kesler/Raymond/Tanev/1st/2nd for Malkin/Orpik.

I'd prefer Ott over Brassard, even though Brassard has more upside and is much younger.

I'd take Brassard, Ott's too much of a hothead, he isn't Lapierre v2.0, AV already coached Lapierre and could get through to him to tone his antics down.

Lapierre took boxing lessons over last summer to back his mouth with his hands .
