I didn't get to watch last night, sounds like it was a snoozer based on some of the comments, but I wonder which team it was that was slowing things down... Interesting offer from the Edmonton fan, but I don't think trading within the division is realistic, Canucks do NOT want to face Schneider six or more times per year.

The game was alright .There were enough scoring chances to keep it somewhat interesting (Mostly NJ).In the days when there were no cap limits it was ok not to trade within the division ,now because of the limited number of teams willing to spend or that have the space ,the standards have changed.

Based on the traditional Oiler draft positioning, that might not be a bad option.

With the projected cap space we have 13 mil next year in space. We would match an offer sheet but more importantly he would be traded or Luongo would be traded at the draft. Gillis will not be trading him for 2013 draft picks .

If Oilers go into next year with the same D and same goaltending they will finish bottom 3 in the league again. Problem is Canucks time to win is now, not in two years.

As well as dallas is playing I believe a overpayment will be required to get Ott.
