That's what I think, but for some reason there are non-Leaf fans that think Reimer is a future #1.

Roy has been a point per game player when healthy.

Roy has more value than I think even most Sabres fans give him credit for.

This Sabres fan doesnt want to see Roy moved.

What does that tell ya?

Like I said, when Roy is healthy and plays his game , he is easily a poing per game guy and he has proven that very thing in the past.

- TerryPegs

He's solid, yes....and if he was 3 inches taller and 15-20 pounds heavier he'd be a superstar...but that's not the case.

Ask yourself this - if Derek Roy was traded to the Kings for JJ and a first what would your reaction be?

I know Roy could get a first rounder back...but his perceived value isn't that what Carters was...so he wouldn't get the quality of player back Carter did....even with almost the same damn production.

I actually see you guys moving Goose before you move Roy.

Like Burke who took Sabres discards in Connolly and Macarthur ?
- TerryPegs

What a huge mistake that MacArthur signing was! Giving up nothing for a clutch 20+ goal player really sucked. Leaf fans are still feeling the pain of grabbing that discard.

Connolly on the other hand - pure genius. I wish we had more than just 1 more year of his 4.75mil cap hit. Sabres did replace his awesomeness with Leino at 4.5+ over 6 years though, so you should be happy with that.

So Marty St Louis is somehow tall and big enough to be a superstar? How does that work?

Connolly was a plan B move after losing out on Richards. Short term move until Colborne is ready or someone is brought in. Hes gone next season. And MacArthur has nearly as many goals as your top scorers...

I would not trade Roy for JJ and a 1st.

But then again defense is the last area that the Sabres are lacking.

But if they werent , I still would not do that trade , honestly.

Derek is more dynamic than people know when he is healthy. Like I said the guy has proven he is a point per game guy in this league, "size doesnt matter"

Philly doesn't need a new goalie to fix the goaltending situation. They need a priest to exorcise the curse.

I'm saying give up on him and get something while you can.

We have 3 goalies coming up with good AHL numbers, better than Reimer's numbers too.

I'm tired of watching our future goalies go thru their growing pains as the Leafs #1 starter.

We need a veteran starter who can hold the fort until they are ready, similar to how we went from Fuhr to Potvin. Yes, it has been that long.

Mac cost us peanuts last year and we got over 20 goals from him. He costs us slighly more peanuts this year and he's going to get another 20 goals playing on a line with a guy who will be lucky if he gets 10 snipes this year (Kuli).

If he had anyone else on his wing he'd have at least 10-15 more points come the end of the year.

He's not perfect but he's not bad at all.

Connolly...we'll ya got me. The only thing I'll say is he's only signed for next year...so it's not all bad.

You know KH isnt going to make a trade like that. Its not his style. He wont overpay for a rental and hes not going to take on significant contract until he knows what hes gonna have to replace on the back end. we both know this team needs more toughness but i just cant see any more moves.

Ya but as it turns out, Colborne is more than capable of doing everything Connolly does (read: nothing) for a small fraction of the cap hit. Oh and if Connolly wasn't blocking him, he could be developing at the NHL level, which is what he needs at this point. So ya, Connolly signing: EPIC FAIL.

You missed the point , they are Buffalo Sabres scraps.

Doesnt matter really , just them being on that team and sucking up so many minutes tells me that the Leafs have a long way to go. Lets be honest.
