Are you kdding Im pretty sure these guys are Bowman foot soldiers. Rocky does not know hockey If they blow this thing up who makes the decisions in the transition. Those guys would run for cover. Plus the new guy would want to bring his guys in.

rocky will have a pretty good idea i think who he would target for gm and president prior to making the move.
rocky is more of a hockey guy than mc d or stan

I am guessing the Devils were just clearing out players.

-Foster is a bottom pairing guy
-Veilleux is in the minors right now pushing 30
-Palmieri is a big, get to the net type player who is still young. He's a player I'd be interested in.

Then a #2 and a #3.

Completely bizarre what NJ did there.

And this stands as the main question?

You guys dont think totaling demolishing the front offices getting a new president a new GM and a new coach doesnt take this team FARTHER away from a cup in the foreseeable future and Im not talking this year year Im talking thats at least another 3-5 year rebuild. Or do we think it will be a seemless transition and the players will ultimately decide the outcome of the games under a new regime.

Im not buying it. Thats a lot of moving pieces and if its the players who ultimately decide the outcomes of games well then who cares.

I just think a complete re tool moves them FARTHER from a cup for a while.

If the presumed situation of decisions by committee is the way of things on Madison currently, then I seriously doubt the validity of the current model.

If scouting takes a short term hit, so be it. The Hawks are well stocked with prospects at this time. As has been noted, there aren't enough spots for even half of them if they pan out.

Get a GM who can put together a cohesive team without the glaring weaknesses we've seen the last two years. Also, bring in a coach (or promote Haviland if he's the guy) who will work to the players' strengths and not try to force them into "his" system. I think they could easily be cup contenders next year.

In all seriousness, the Bowman name is still a sacred cow in the hockey world dont know if he'll get a GM job immeidalty but I assure you he wont have trouble finding work.

nice post

speaking for myself only the reason i am so frustrated is i think the hawks could have been one of the favorites with a few moves

and to make it worse vancouver has a very good shot of winning the cup

I fail to see what problems McD is causing..

I'm beginning my climb down to one side of the fence on Bowman though.. and it isn't good.

Still time to to do something but I'm beginning to fear he is going to be left behind come Monday afternoon.

I respect that I disagree and Im pretty sure this regime as at least a couple years left before any major reshuffles take place. But Im just trying to get to the nuts and bolts and besides saying Stan sucks getting to the real ideas of where we think the organization should go. With real questions and real answers. That was a logical reply.

With the His system comment you are referring to Q.
