I don't think Kopitar fits the mold of what Dean Lombardi necessarily wants the Kings to be, or what Murray/Murray 2.0 wants either.

Dustin Brown fits that mold.

Am I the only Leafs fan that thinks Olli would be a pretty good temporary solution? He's kind of like a Sundin-lite-lite

I would take Dustin Brown over Jeff Carter any day of the week. If the KIngs ship out Brown and expect Mike Richards and Jeff Carter to get it done I can seriously see this team falling out of the playoff picture and the future is not as bright. The two ex flyers are highly overated and both heading for sick bay in the near future. They will always be injured and the fans in LA will see how Lombardi has screwed up their future. How is Simone Gagne doing by the way, oh another one I could have told you so. One thing about Matt Berry he is right that Dream Lombardi is a bad dream.

for years your only bet was finding out through some other team or player and even then you had to disguise it in some way so Lou would't freak out....however, starting just before the Kovalchuk signing things loosened a great deal. no one really knows why, but for example I wrote about Kovalchuk to NJ before it happened...and now it is common knowledge that Parise is going to test the UFA market...no matter what. some speculate its because Lou is getting ready to retire..but honestly we don't know

Leafs should trade Schenn and Kulemin for Brown. I keep thinking that Burke HAS to make some kind of move since the team is playing so horrible lately, but I cant think of any trade that he can pull off that another team wont pull off first. Are there any other guys out there that are available that might not be getting talked about???
