True, but what is more dangerous - relying on 1 rookie added to the blueline, or a forward corps that can't score a goal to save their lives? Seeing how many 1 goal games the kings have lost so far, I see no change coming for the playoffs without serious help up front. To trade away one of our top 6 to plug a possible hole on D seems to me like a far quicker route to failure. Immediately speaking anyway.

Leino = tough signing.
Stafford = I think he can still be really good.
Boyes = was a good gamble. a 2nd for a guy who potted 40? ya gotta make that trade. Just didn't pan out.

All is not lost. but you guys need to start losing to get a good draft pick though.

yea thats the problem for some of these teams they are always just decent teams so they never really suck to get that big name guy... st. louis said it best... "as bad as it sounds, we almost had to be bad to get better, if we didnt have those down years, we wouldnt have stamkos, or hedman, or even connolly". imagine if the bolts had been like 8/9/10th those years? we would be a completely different team. altho we would have prob been able to keep richards
