Carter is not the answer to our offensive problems.
Our D is fine.
Our offense is last in the league.
We need a lot more than just Carter.
We need a system change in my opinion. Or at least tweaking. - StayTunedMTC
Your offense should be fine you have Richards, Carter, Kopitar, Penner, Gagne, Brown Clifford, and Williams.... That's more offense than almost every team in the league. |

BURKE has Band aid players to give up ...why the LEAFS front runners.. - Canuckfan2006
I know Leaf fans will hate me for this but I agree with this.
I dont see the Leafs with enough roster talent to absorb any big moves that will be beneficial to their club this season or next.
I am a Sabres fan and I know very well 2 players they rely on for offensive output.
Toronto is going to have to get "roster better" in the offseason.
They just dont have enough bullets in the chamber to get into a bidding war with to many teams at this years deadline. I mean in all reality , what GM wants any roster player that Toronto can actually afford to give up without hurting their chances now? I cant think of one.
Burke should be looking to shore up that goaltending position if possible and that is where 100% of his attention should be if he is serious about holding down that 8th spot this season or he can kiss the playoffs goodbye once again since the 2003/04. |

Whats the leafs draft pick situation? What picks do we have available for this upcoming year? Can someone please get Burke's number so I can call and ask him whats up? Do you have it, Ek? lol - steven3266
Toronto doesn't have 3rd,4th or 7th. They do however have NYR's 7th and ANA's 6th. |

That's what baffles me with LA, they've got the weapons to score 5+ goals a night, and yet they can't even muster a single goal most nights.. I know they've already changed coaches, but it seems like Sutter isn't doing a good job. |

They have all of those names but if they just don't work or gel together that well then a change up in certain guys makes sense IMO.
How Brown, your captain, and really good 2 way player becomes the casualty is beyond me.
Penner and Gagne should be on the market but maybe Brown is because he would get the best return. who knows. |
|
|

There's a reason you're not involved with the league in any which way, Eklund. Business is business and Brown don't fit. He isn't owed anything more than the cheque he already gets for playing a game. Tough break |

Well, with Gagne out with a concussion and Penner being a walking time bomb I don't know how much they'd get the Kings. |

IF LAK are no longer considering trading Dustin Brown, as @FriedgeHNIC tweeted, I can most certainly assure you they were. |

Seems LA may have backed down after Brown's name got out in the trade rumors. |

Oilers fans think they can get Bernier for Hemsky straight up. I loled. Thoughts? |

my head hurts from headbutting the desk.
I heard it was Hemsky/Khabby for Bernier which made me laugh harder.
I really can foresee Khabby or Vokoun in Chicago by Monday. |

If Caps beat the leafs on Sat, maybe they keep trying. They lose, Vokoun might be gone. |

Oilers may re-sign Hemsky today, which IMO is stupid but there's a certain argument to be made there...but if a team wants Khabibulin and they don't trade him, well, I don't know wtf. |

No offense but I don't think that Lupol, Bozak, Kessell, MacArthur, Kulemin, and Grabo, Connolly, Kadri, and Lombardi are held in as high regards for offensive output as Williams, Kopitar, Brown, Gagne, Richards, Penner, Richardson, and Stoll are typically are |
