Did Burke start crying again because there is no longer a place in the NHL for a guy like Rosehill? - JDJ

What are the Kings going to win throwing out a Top 4 of Doughty, Mitchell, Scuderi, Voynov. That's brutal... - Lipchitz
Yep, 3rd in the league in GA and 5th in PK, with JJ's -12. Just brutal. |

Everyone in LA has the utmost respect and admiration for Dustin Brown, and while I realize it's more fun to speculate on locker room conflicts, the real reason Brown is suddenly in play is money; the Kings just took on a big long term deal in Carter, and moving Brown's deal will allow the Kings to retain some flexibility going forward in rebuilding the roster.
Regarding Brown: he has certainly come a long way from the shy kid who was harrassed by Sean Avery when he came up to becoming a solid 2nd-3rd line winger and captain of a playoff team; but anyone who has watched the Kings sleepwalk through this season can't help but notice the failure of leadership, from the front office down to the ice. Much like a previous Kings captain. Mattias Norstom, everyone likes Brownie; but that doesn't get guys to drive to the net and get the tough goals when they are needed. When Ryan Smythe left this year, Brown became the leader up front, and the results speak for themselves.
Now it's time for a shock to the system, and maybe seeing "core" guys like Brown and Johnson shipped off will light an "accountability" fire under some guys (lookin; at you, Anze !!!), and the team will respond more to Richards leadership. Not that we have a choice; with those contracts, it's Philly West or bust. - jkaflagg

Leafs should trade Schenn and Kulemin for Brown. I keep thinking that Burke HAS to make some kind of move since the team is playing so horrible lately, but I cant think of any trade that he can pull off that another team wont pull off first. Are there any other guys out there that are available that might not be getting talked about??? - steven3266

Even if he does, I don't see any huge moves coming... Sarich, Hannan, Comeau, Moss, maybe Babchuk if anyone wants him...
Doesn't really change the team up much. - jtommyt
Well then if that's true it will come down to July 1st. If this team looks the same on July 2nd the ownership has to clean house. King, Feaster & Sutter history. |

Every single fan overvalues their teams players... you sound like just as much of a joke to the other 29 teams as we do - DarcyTucker16

What absurd proposal did I offer that was a joke?
Here's a hint, I've never offered one.

You're 3rd in the league with Johnson and a Top 5 goalie. Your D is about to get a lot worse unless someone is added. |

It would be smarter to shove Penner on waivers and hope he gets picked up or traded. That's 4+ sitting in the freaking press box watching the game. If Lombardi needs money, there's a smarter way to do it then trading Brown. |

Firstly they were decent with Johnson but he was your second best defender you know have to replace 22:00min a night of Johnson between Scuderi, Mitchell and Voynov, that's borderline suicide. Not to mention if one of them gets hurt and then you are throwing Mike Greene out there for 20+ min a night.
The Kings need defensive help (especially solid depth guys with upside, you know like Schenn) and scoring. The Leafs are a great match. - Lipchitz
First off, his name is Matt Greene, not Mike.
Second off, Johnson was our worse defender for offensive production the last 3 years as well as worst defender on the defensive side as well.
Meaning, he had the lowest production regarding ppg while also allowing the opposition to have the higher ppg production while he was on the ice.
We may need another defensemen, but not one that is a healthy scratch some nights. We have a 7th defenseman in Drewskie as well as a stacked AHL/OHL roster of D.
Dude, please know what you are talking about before you say it. You may sound more intelligent. May. |

Obviously what we need to do is trade Price for Kadri, Schenn and a 1st, since that's obviously what it takes to get any good player in this league.
Then we flip those guys over for Brown and Bernier! Problem solved!!!!!!.... |

its a universal you... you tried to again pigeon hole leaf fans as being the only fans that make bad trade offers and over value players... im saying every single fan does it... what kind of fan are you if you dont put out theoretical trade offers and play armchair gm? thats sad |

You could be right, but my bet is on Voynov. I personally hate to see JJ go, but I like what I see in Voynov. What I don't like is our offense. I'm not positive, but I think Dean would agree. |

Dude, Quick wasn't top 5 last year and we were still ranked high.
Sorry our D isn't full of sexy names. Names don't mean everything... production does.
And once again, Johnson was our biggest liability on D. |

Sorry Ek, but you're out to lunch on both. There is no power struggle in the Kings locker room, no divide. I love to know where you get your info, oh ya, you just make it up. Also, please post a link to where you got the info that the KINGS said Bernier won't be moved. I watched both of Lombardi interviews last night and not only did he never say that, he also wasn't asked. Stop stirring up poop. |

Every fan base has their idiots. The Leafs just happen to have more idiots because they have a bigger fan base.
What kind of a fan am I? A realistic one I guess.
You know.. one that doesn't pretend I'm GM.. I stopped pretending things once I reached about 7-9 and found out Santa, the tooth fairy, and the Easter Bunny weren't real. |
