In the grand scheme of things, that really doesn't help much, if it happens. We have some defensemen who can step in for Martin; but acquiring an all the sudden fragile guy who isn't the same player he once was at the cap hit he is now ...

Better to trade Martin for like a second and a fourth.

Never said I wanted Malone! ha. Love the guy but too much for us. Maybe an Edmonton would take him?

I have never watched a Pens vs TBL game and thought to myself "If only we still had Malone" When he's healthy I never notice him. Im sorry but he just seems really injury prone, a big contract, not worth it imho.

To showcase the game to noobs? They know that the hardcore fans are locked up and will get over missing a game, but they can throw out an accessible team (like the Pens) week after week after week and maybe gain a few fans with the lack of other sports this time of year. Just my guess.

In other news, I'll get to finally watch one of these weekend games tomorrow. Have a bachelor party to go to this evening, hope I'm not hungover to the point of sleeping through the 1 PM start.
