Zidlicky for Foster, Nick Palmieri, Veilluex, a 2nd round pick, and another pick? I get Foster and Veilluex are basically throw ins. But that seems a lot for a guy who was a continual healthy scratch no? - Deadstar
Seems like a lot, but not much quality there.
Hemsky deal isn't bad for Edmonton. He'd get that on the open market and probably more. He comes off the books in 2 years when RNH's entry level deal is up.
ESPN has us looking at Josh Harding as backup goalie help... I feel for Johnny, a strong outing against CBJ Sunday could probably help save his job, and he might not be able to play. |

i never said the hemsky deal was good...
sullivan was brought in to be a top 6 replacement and in my eyes and waht i see, i just dont see it... i feel if we have two puck moving D on point during pp it will greatly improve our PP, it gives the added D help for no sh goals and it stops us from cycling to much and skating around, it keeps geno on the wall or down low and we will shoot more...
dupes is dupes but he can be easily replaced...
and as we all know ek doesnt know what hes talking about... why would we want malones cap hit.... - nh4442
I wouldn't say he could be replaced that easily. |

I just can't see another team paying $5 mil a year to a guy who can't give you more than 50 games a season that's not named Crosby. |

He's a UFA, so he wouldn't be here after that anyway. Just short term help for a struggling backup. Mathieu Garon got a Cup ring like that. |

im so glad neal signed before hemsky was signed. Neal would of demanded 7+ mil. Edmonton thought they could get more than what hemsky is really worth. the best deal was probably just a 1st rounder |

Edmonton apparently. Wonder how much they just hurt themselves when they go to do extensions for Eberle and Hall some day..."geez..if THAT guy can get $5 mil, I'm worth...." |
