My two favorite name out there are Mason Raymond and David Jones. Both could be great additions to the pens. Also, did anyone else see people saying we had interest in ryan malone?

Please no Malone. If someone proposes a 1st rd pick (plus some) for Dustin brown, you know lombardi will listen. Lombardi is under so much pressure to win this year that i bet that Shero could put Kennedy, Martin, and a 1st/3rd for brown and a throw in D guy and it'd work.... Would u do that deal?

I read they needed cap space to sign quick. I don't think bringing on another 4.5 helps them accomplish that

Lombardi is pressured too much, I can see him making an impulsive move that hurts the team in 2 years.

so who have we mostly agreed on? jones from col, oshie from stl, raymond from van, allen from car, a back goalie if johnson cant win this weekend (which u would think he would play agianst cbj and flower against tb)... am i missing anyone??...

we agree on no to hemsky, malone, brown(due to what we would have to give up), anyone else whose name was thrown around and we bickered about...

Not qt the expense of their franchise goalie. And they aren't winning because they don't score. Moving brown and replacing him with Tk doesn't he'll the lack of scoring. Just my thoughts.

Penners contract will most likely be gone tho. You'd be trading a top 9 foward and a top 4 D man for a top 6 forward. Seems fairly equivalent, especially of u throw in a draft pick

Guess I will default to the fact they need scoring and that trade provides them with none. Not to mention penner and brown leaving is basically a wash with acquiring Tk and martin and they still would need to clear space. Fun topic though

It sucks for me to say it because I still miss having him but Malone contract will cost us Staal or something like that. Cap hit is not doable for the Pens.

I am really having a tough time understanding why Edmonton just paid full price for a used dishwasher.

My children will hear stories about Malone but I agree that acquisition spells doom for someone we would rather keep.

The thing with Malone is that I don't think his contract is that bad, to other teams. I think he would be easy enough to trade in the off season if we had to. The way the Pens are constructed his contract moving forward doesn't make sense. Doesn't mean the same could be said for say, Edmonton.

If he has a NTC ignore everything I just said, I have no idea if he does or not.

He does indeed have a ntc, which keeps getting brought up as Pittsburgh would be the only place he would waive it for.
