The thing the blog is missing is, Carter isn't hiding out in Sea Isle City with a blanket over his head and a bottle of tequila at his lips.

He's excited to be reunited with his buddy and the coach that he had his best season under in John Stevens. For all their perceived failings, both Carter and (especially) Richards getting shredded by the media for innuendo and second hand info.

For those calling them regular season heroes, the Flyers are third in the NHL in the past 4 years in playoff wins, with Carter and Richards as two key pieces of the puzzle.

With out the ridiculous Philly media riding them for every perceived flaw, they can help the Kings succeed.

Eric Smith: Are The Kings Repeating the Blue Jackets Mistake
The Blue Jackets moved one of their two big chips as they sent center Jeff Carter packing to Los Angeles for defenseman Jack Johnson and and a first round pick in either the 2012 or 2013 Entry Draft depending if the Kings make the playoffs.

The question now is if Kings general manager Dean Lombardi is falling into the same trap that Blue Jackets general manager Scott Howson did last summer?

What's the deal with grant clintsome? I thought he was pretty decent. I admittedly have only seen about 4 or 5 jackets games but going forward, the isles only have three d men signed for next year. You think he would be worth picking up off waivers? We need to sign guys anyhow.

Also good trade. Jeff carter is a punk. Jack Johnson is a class act.

Considering the twitter war with the Philly media, not sure about the more mature part

Good question, why was he put on waivers anyway? Howson is a buffoon.
