#Isles Hamonic good to go. Said he was surprised by severity of injury. Torn septum. Needed plastic surgery. Sounded brutal

I thought Nino was getting sent back to Portland for their playoffs? - jimmc7722
No, that was just Botta saying the other day that if the Isles wanted to do that, they'd have to do it by I think Monday or something. |

Chicken or the egg...is he struggling because he gets little ice time with horrible linemates, or is he getting little ice time with horrible linemates because he's struggling? Personally, I think he's done enough on the fourth line to at least be moved up to the third in favor of Rolston. I agree, he should be in juniors, but if he's not going to be, at least give the kid a fair shot for a game or two. - UIF
Is it fair to only give him 1 or 2 games on another line?
When hes been on 4th line the whole year, at least give him the remaining games left in the season, fair evaulation. |

Tonites game is just another game, theres no rivalry anymore, thats just my opinion. We know what the Rags are, an what the Isles are. Plain an simple, as a huge Islander fan, but realistic hockey person, wish the Isles win, but hate to say it, but, Rags are more talented in every fascet, starting with GM an Coach, an maybe thinking Owner as well.................. - Ur Not Me
WOW!!! BOLD STATEMENT!!!
let me try to wrap my head around this one, youre saying #1 team in the conference has better players than the #13 team in the conference?!?
a coach thats been coaching NHL teams for 12 years is better than a career AHL coach??!
the owner who owns the most famous arena in the world and has a huge cable company and actually spends money on players is better than the scrooge that owns the islanders??
BOLD!!!!!! |

Biron in net tonight. |

Sorry but i just can't see Snow doing ANYthing of substance. The arena sitch is holding everything up. This is a lame duck franchise until that gets settled.
Unless he's willing to trade which he hasn't done since Ryan Smyth, it's the scrap heap after the free agency frenzy occurs once again for us.
It blows, but it's true. |

Do the Rangers play Saturday as well? Biron kills us too, but I got a good feeling about this for some strange bizarre twisted reason |

Ok, niƱo has one goal and zero assists and is minus a million. What has he done exactly to earn more ice time ? He shoul be in juniors - Isles316
Nothing. Which is exactly why he should never have been put on the NHL roster this season. It was a complete mistake. The kid wasted an entire year of development sitting on the bench for 52 minutes/game and playing with garbage like Wallace, Pandolfo and Reasoner when he actually got a shift. I don't want to hear anything about Nino benefitting from the "experience" of being up and playing against men. The kid got destroyed this year. He accomplished nothing. Snow made a huge mistake putting him on the Isles and not sending him back to Portland.
But, I must say, if we're going to play the game of "what did he do to deserve more ice time", what exactly has Rolston done to earn more ice time and time on the 2nd PP unit and a top three line this year? Nothing. He got that time because "he's a vet", which is entirely stupid because if you're going to rush a kid to the NHL like they did with Nino (and with Bailey in '08), you at least have to let him play and give him a chance with decent players. |

So how about you guys lose tonight and destroy Buffalo on Saturday. I think that would be great. Plus think about us sneeking into the 8th spot playing the all mighty Rangers in the first round. I think that would be great. So throw a game tonight and it might become realty. What am I talking about if the Islanders some how win they will lose like 5 straight. Just dont hurt us ok? |

It will be a close game like always I'm sure. I got a feeling our top line will strike tonight, Gaborik usually has great games at the Coliseum. |

Jethro the fact rolston is in the lineup at all makes me lose faith in this organization. Guy has been terrible and shows no heart. It's gross

Yeah he is always good for a couple of goals. The Islanders just cant solve that guy. Even when he was with Minnesota. I mean I think we have a better chance with Biron in net but he has played real great as well. SO yeah close game not to chippy as the Islanders have no one. If I could ask for one thing though have someone take out Rolston please?? That would be better then a win |

Finally some common sense!!!.....You could play Gretzky w/ pandolfo(rolston) and/or reasnor and he would have a crappy season too....either move him up in the linup or send him down...before we kill his career too. |

Ur kidding rite, if you think playing with scrubs on the 4th line is gonna show case his talents with 5mins of ice time a game. Then u know jack about hockey.
Juniors would do nothing for him bc he dominated for 2 years straight with improving his game. He needs to get more NHL experience. Who cares about stats when ur building his confindence or lack there of. Watch closely bud, other than Martin & Hamonic, Nino actually throws checks to opposing players, something the isles lack....................... - Ur Not Me
Why is he not at the Bridge, ripping up the A.?? |

Good morning hockey buzzers it is a beautiful day. Today is goign to be awesome I can feel. Something is going to go down with the Islanders today. Eitehr they sign Nabby or some type of trade. I just feel it. Everything is going perfect today so I see the Islanders winning tonight by the score of 3 - 1. Remember you heard it here first that something will happen. - kasperrko
