It's not me saying it, it's history saying it. 6, 7, 8 seed never won the cup. 5th in conference, only twice. The worst team to ever win the cup was the 8th best team in the entire league. All facts, so sorry if I don't have faith that a team that has been garbage all year is all of a sudden gonna win the cup if they somehow manage to back into the playoffs

There's a first time for everything. No team with a non North American captain had won the cup until Detroit did in 07-08. Not saying it's gonna happen this year, but there's no saying some team won't/couldn't do it.

I still think we look extremely weak up the middle. I never see Ennis being a #1 and at best I see Adam as a borderline #2 probably best suited for wing. I also don't like tying up all that money on wing. If we get Parise, Vanek needs to go. I'm all for moving Vanek even if we don't get Parise

Goose only makes 2.3 based on his cap hit. Unless they trade Leopold, he'll be back and honestly, that's not something I can see them doing. He's actually been pretty solid this year, so I doubt you see him moved. They would have to really be wowed in order to even consider it.

Hey, I'm glad you don't live here too. You can call it cynicism and negative all you want but I'm very opptimistic. I'm optimistic that we can actually makes some trades to improve this team. I'm optimistic that we can finally shed some of the dead weight. I'm optimistic at how much a top 5 pick may actually be able to help this team. And yes, I'm even optimistic that if Darcy f's it all up, we can finally fire him
