Vanek is overrated in my opinion, I'd rather have Parise.

And while Stastny may be overrated, he is still better than any center we've had in 5 years. His #s may be down these past 2 seasons but prior to that they were nice. I think he would benefit from a change as he is not happy in Colorado and he is probably the only center we have a realistic chance at getting

And If Adam and Ennis are players you'd prefer, then we won't trade for Stoll.

Also, nobody is taking Leino from us. However, I think he'll end up working out. I like him w/ Pommer

That lets us keep vanek AND sign parise
Although a good point was made about whether or not parise would realistically sign with us after missing the playoffs when a team like the rangers, etc are sure to make an offer
I'd much rather a good center at a good cap hit like pavelski then overpaying stastny or getzlaf who are overrated IMO & not "superstars"

Without a center, all your wingers will underachive. With an all-star enter, Vanek would be a perrenial 45-50g player. Pommer would be a 35-40g guy.

If I can get Parise, I trade one or both of Vanek/Pominville. Nothing wrong with improving on the wings while trying to find a center that fits in the top 6.

Currently, Myers is a bonafide #2. Time to go get a #1 like Shea Webber or Suter via FA (and make said player our captain).

At 5.3 I don't think Getz is overrated. That being said, come monday at 3, if Pavelski and Brown are here, I'm all good. I just want/need something to happen
