Our whole team is tuff to figure out, wouldn't you agree? - SABRES 89
Yeah, but having Lindy as your coach doesn't exactally help that situtation.
Personally I cant figure of if selling at the deadline will really help us. I cant see how selling someone this year will help us win next year. |

Selling the core off is 100% the way to look at things!
Roy, Stafford and if trading Pominville gets you that player, go for it! Change this teams idenity Monday. Enough of these guys, move on.org |

I am really confused this year. Is Darcy going to get axed after the season. Do Uncle Terry and Co. want him gone? If so, are they really going to let him do anything at the trade deadline knowing he's gone as soon as the lights go dark at FN Center? Does Darcy know the heat is on and go into survival mode, making risky trades that have short-term benefits but hurt our future? Is it just business as usual down there? Do other teams really want our junk?
I sure as hell don't know what is going to happen. Should be interesting to say the least. |

We need a desparate team who is in salary cap jail and also in hot water with its fans to trade with. We need a team basically just happy to dump Salary and move in a new direction. I think the salary floor is srewing us. |

Isn't Brown EXACTLY what we hope Kassian will become?
He'd be the perfect mentor for him
Hopefully there's a way to get it done without losing Kassian |

Change for the Sake of change? Punishing your best player(Pomm) for doing well? Sure it would add some excitement to Sabre land seeing who the "new guys" are but how will that excitement last? Will it translate into a Stanley Cup? |

I hear you. I really on the fence about it. Even after the Pittsburgh game I was like whatever, where was this all year. But after the Isles game I caught myself peeking at the standings and saying, you know, it's not impossible. If the goal is to win the cup, making the first round and flaming out does more harm than good, you're right. At the same time, it would be fun to watch. |

I hear ya...
But let me know when a "stamkos" becomes available...
Stastny & Getzlaf aren't "game changers" IMO either
Bottom line-
Brown would make us better...
And at a GREAT cap hit - jdfitz77
Agree but he's not a game changing center we need, I know Stafford is useless here but he can be a good player in this league and some GM(s) can see that. Give me Eric Staal anyday. |

Me too. Winning is more fun, period. Nice thinkg about Pegula is we may not have to tank outright like Pittsburg in order to get great players and be good. |

I would love to have Staal. Carolini wont part with him because he is a part of that "Stanley Cup" season legacy, but Carolini needs to realize that was 6-7 years ago now. They are wasting his career. |

poor jack johnson, he had such a promising career. i guess he'll have to wait until the columbus blue jackets get traded to quebec until he becomes relevant again. poor guy. |
