Hate to change the subject, but how much does everyone think Ennis will get this summer? He's an RFA; I'm thinking 3 years at $2.25 million per. |

I would for sure. - nfph
I'd like to see more from Armia before dealing him away so carelessly, but I'd have to think long and hard about it. There is also the plus of getting rid of stafford though and that makes me lean towards making that trade. |

That is such a terrible generalization (Vanek, Pommer, Miller, Roy, Campbell, Tallinder, to name a few). - snowstorm077

Dude all I'm saying you job is your job !! you get payed to do it! and do it well no matter what is going on in your life... - Therat36
There's a reason you get time off of work for certain things. It's because they know you wouldn't be able to function properly if they did make you work. Like a death in the family. Your mind is somewhere else.
It's easy to sit back and say "you're getting paid to do a job, so leave home at home and do you're job to 100% if your ability" when you're not going through whatever it is that the other person is dealing with. It's kind of ignorant to think that way IMO. |

His injuries helped us out in that regard. I'm definitely thinking it'll only be a 2-3 year contract, at like 3 per max. |

I would not mind seeing 2.25 a year for 4 ..The longer we have ennis locked up the better..I just have a feeling he is gonna break out and it's gonna cost a boat load to keep the kid |

and all I'm saying its not that simple. From one who has been there, it svcks!!! If Stafford is having issues, then hopefully for him, they get resolved in the off-season and next year is is better. I really think that Pegula can relate! |

Then Vanek, Pommer and Roy can be taken from the list still. And as far as Dmen go, Campbell is one of the better offensive ones in the league, so really he could be included in the discussion as well. |

Hey, Luke was playing well, then he got taken off the top line...and played with Cody and Ellis. - snowstorm077
Adam was playing pretty well, then not as well, then he got moved off of that line. Happens to players all of the time, in every team sport. How you respond when you're benched or moved tells what kind of player you are.
If Adam keeps working to improve he'll get the opportunities that come with it. |

I think Ennis will want a shorter contract, unless Darcy dishes out more salary. |

I would as well. Brown is still pretty young and he's a leader. Though, LA has struggled as well this year. But I like the style game he plays. I'd definitely do it. - HonkFortheGoose
Honestly, looking at the next three years we would likely be very happy with that trade.
After that, the question is less "who knows" and more "who cares." |

I understand. I just never got why he wasn't sent down if he wasn't going to play top 6 minutes. There's no reason to keep him around for so long just to play 8 minutes a game. I was glad they finally sent him down, but it was way overdue in my mind. |

I got to see him play Saturday against the Lake Erie Monsters. He looked just as lost there as he was here before they sent him down. Hopefully he can pull out of this, but the kid is currently struggling even in the A. |

Armia may be a nice forward, but I think that matters less than what Staff/Brown swap would mean for this team in the next year +. |

hahaha I feel like that is the dangerous game that Milbury played. Not comparing Armia to any of the guys he shipped out, but I'd want to get a better idea of the quality of these prospects. |

To me Armia is going to be a good player, but he's very much like Vanek was in his early days. He's not interested unless things are going his way. Once that happens, the kid can be unstoppable.
At this point, though, I'd rather have the guy that does give it his all every night than wait on a prospect that you hope will break out of those bad habits. |

Millbury is an extreme example.

Someone in another thread said that they heard on the radio that the at the Blue Jackets arena in Columbus the conference room is being set up for a "large crowd capacity"
If this is what rumors have come down to now... kill me with a hammer.

After his last few seasons I don't think anyone would give him 4mill. Same thing with boyes - HotSauceBlueChs
I could see a team trying to get to the cap floor take a shot on him for decent $$$
ESP, if it's just for a year & they can move him at the deadline |
