JFJ is a very very very good scout

you can thank him for kuli and gunnar for example

this is why i believe he was a puppet of the MLSE.. he was given a mandate that he was forced to follow rather than playing to his strengths as a scout and determining prospect value

he could of probably rebuilt this team properly if given the chance

Jiri Tlusty in 06 1st,13th overall (Could of had Giroux! He went at 22, what the faacckkK!!!!)

After that he did okay though. His other 2006 picks were:

Kulemin 2nd,43rd overall
Reimer 4th, 99th overall
Holzer 4th, 111th overall
Stalberg 6th,161st overall

Traded most of our premium 07 picks for Toskala. Man this guy was the worst! But once again...Managed to draft:

Matt Frattin 4th,99th overall
Juraj Mikus 5th,136th overall
Carl Gunnarsson 7th,194th overall

Then he got fired as he should of after those terrible trades and the rest is history.

well.. 21 other teams missed giroux as well..

and thats precisely what i mean about jfj.. if he was allowed to draft he could of done very very well.. but he was forced into trading as a rookie GM and got hosed by more experienced guys
