Are you dense or just refuse to take the homer glasses off ?

If Toronto loses Grabovski ,Connolly or Macarthur , they are screwed.

They can not afford to lose the % of scoring either one of those brings to the table.

I can find out the % of offense Grabovski, Connolly and Macarthur provides for the Leafs.

Your roster can not absorb those loses.

You lose anyone off that roster that can score , after they leave the offense will resemble lip stick on a pig.

I am just trying to give you an objective view. You want to wear blinders. Toronto is not deep in scoring again , remember you are talking to a Sabre fan .

You have 2 Sabres rejects that you probably put into your " a lot of scoring" category.

Like I said, remember you are talking to a Sabre fan.

And you're the only one who mentioned Connolly as contributing anything...We know he's poop. Luckily we didn't sign him for 6 years....

Yes , a goalie you so desperately need .

Not a goal scorer.

- TerryPegs

A goalie that would cost Grab and Mac? What goalie is available for that? It would have to be a playoff bound team who would take on a UFA.. So who? Bernier? Not enough .. Lindback? Too much..

Toronto is 7th in scoring, 28th in GAA....if they were to trade say Grabo ++ for Carter and bring in a goalie...they would be better. Not worse.

Burke is probably trying to get a First from a Grabo trade, and then parlay that first to CBJ
- faceto27

He can try all he wants... no team is going to give up a 1st for a rental 2nd line center.

Really man? Quincy fetched a 1st and Downie got Quincy.. You REALLY don't think a guy who is on pace for 30 goals can't get a late 1st rounder and a prospect?

So does that mean that Buffalo could get a 1st for Stafford because he has shown potential to be a 30 goal scorer?

Nope....but Pominville could fetch 3 1sts a 2nd and a prospect.

If he were on a 30 goal pace this year, you could likely swindle a 1st out a desperate team for his services heading into a playoff push, yes.

Yes he is having a slow year but he is still young and under contract for a few more years.. I couldn't see why Stafford can't land a late 1st rounder at the deadline.. even if he only has 10 goals this year

Funny a sabres fan calling someone a homer....

I never said we'd have the same high scoring rate we do now....learn to read before you post.
We can AFFORD to give up some scoring (and i never said MAC and Grabo...I said ONE of them) for a Goalie....
When you have a better goalie you need to score less....understand?

- clarkysduster

I am no homer , thats a fact!

Sabres blow but can still catch the teams that blow as well that are in front of them.

One word on why that can happen and is realistic.

Miller

I couldnt care less if the Sabres make it or not this year.

There will be changes made in Hockey Heaven this off season and we all know it here in Buffalo whether we makes any moves or nt at the deadline.

2 moves I see the Sabres making for sure at the deadline ,trying to unload Brad Boyes for at least a 4th.

And perhaps trading Leopold and Gragnani , and I firmly believe that team will be Chicago. Chicago and even Pat Kane has said publicly they miss Soupy and would love to have another pucking moving dman like Soupy for their PP .

I see Chicago calling for Leopold and or Gragnani.

Straight up? For a team that's 1 good forward away from going deep? In this insane NHL market? Absolutely
