This all depends on what happens Friday against Boston and Saturday against the Rangers.

Yeah that's tough. We'll see though.

No, we wont be making the playoffs this year...no since trading for a short term bandaid.
It would need to be a long term fix.

- Fakepartofme

I wouldn't say that, the east is wide open this year and as for fixing your goaltending problem, unless you get a quality starter/stud like a Cam Ward from the Canes, I wouldn't give up on Reimer that quick. He's only 23 and coming off an injury. He has shown signs of being a really good if not great goaltender. He "is" your future I believe and you guys will be fine. He's just hitting a little rough patch, as well as the other Leafs players. They just need to ride it out.

I wonder if the contract is effecting his play ....

I'd go 4.75 and maybe 5 years.

Okay frank it....... we give them our entire 3rd line........ Connelly, Army, Lombo.......and we throw in Komi to boot

C'mon man

- faceto27

I wish we could trade them that for Carter...but no dice.
Too old and as you said...3rd liners.
Plus that's like 16 million going back to the jackets.

Dude LA does not want "the moster" I'd bet my life. For that matter who would ?

Quick has given up 7or 8 goals his last 2 starts so you are wrong there as well.

- TerryPegs

Of course they don't want him specifically. He's just the warm body to ride the pine in place of Bernier.

IMO

Carter
Nabby
Ott

makes us a decent playoff team. Upgrades three points we need: Grit, center, goal. I could see Burke actually trying for Carter and Nabby...but not all three.

I think best case stop gap goalie scenario is prying Vokoun away from Caps...he was awesome on a sh!tty panther team for years so he's used to having an under-par def system in front of him
- JIMI-JAMES

He has that now and he has looked like poop this year.

Huge disappointment for the Caps this year.

For that to happen the perfect storm has to brew..........

Ovechkin's injury more serious, and will be out 2-3 weeks

We beat San Jose tonight

The Habs do us a favour and beat the Caps on Friday

The Leafs kick the Caps butt on Saturday......... that effectively eliminates the Caps from the playoffs, thus the sell off begins.

Vokoun doesn't bother getting on plane with the Caps after the loss saturday, instead shows up for practise Sunday afternoon with the Leafs

He doesn't need to go the other way. And I'm not saying we're getting Bernier...but you can bet your balls he's available for some scoring help...which is something we have a lot of.

See , I think I have seen Reimer a bit more than you have.

I dont see anything special with Reimer at all.

Once shooters learned his weakness's he has been exploited and has looked average and most times below average to be fair.

They are not getting Cam Ward from the Canes. The Canes are resigning all their "core" guys . Cam will not be moved .

Book that !

Agree 100%, Carter is more important then say Miller/Price/Ward. Nabby would be perfect, he gives you a veteran goaltender with playoff experience. Could he be this year's Roloson? Maybe. Plus you have Reimer as your future and he'll learn from Nabby. Ott would be nice too, just don't know what Dallas wants for him.

That one actually sparked my interest for a second. I would take it if Pominville wasn't the biggest offensive scoring threat we have. What Buffalo needs right now more than anything is for more offense and to get rid of all of the d-men that we have that could be playing on other teams.
