He's a good faceoff guy, and he'll let you know it.

Would be interesting to see the Ott/Laviolette dynamic.

- PLindbergh31

He's a tough player to play again. He's actually from my area and I have some friends who knew Ott. I saw in an interview with Matthew Barnaby where he stated that Ott is actually funny out there with his insults. Some guys talk just to talk and sound stupid. Ott is actually cleaver.

Ott would be a solid addition.

Ott is an intriguing player. His cap hit is just about 3 million. Flyers would have to trade something substantial to acquire him.

Not opposed to Ott. What would it take to get him is the question.

Too much imo to invest in a player who may only play minimal minutes on this team. Then you have to wonder what Dallas would also like in return on top of it. I would pass if I were the Flyers.

The OHL isn't an even-level playing field. The bigger markets get all the big-time prospects, especially London. That stat doesn't impress me.
- LordStanley88

It wasn't posted to impress, just to give one of McPhee's reported reasons and rationale for hiring him.

I don't see a match. Flyers don't have any prospect that Dallas would want, and guys like Schenn, JVR, Couturier would be vast overpayments.

I agree. If the Flyers had the cap space and could acquire him cheaply I would like it. But that's not possible, so pass.

we are gonna be tied in with everyone. If we are getting a Jarret Stoll or a Paul Gaustad, then just leave the team alone.

If the Flyers gave up those two pimps, Dallas would have to include Goligoski.

I think the Flyers made their trades. They addressed the area of weakness. No sense in tinkering any further, unless something comes along that is too good to be true.

That is true. Maybe I'm going about things wrong. With a lot more laziness, and a terrible attitude maybe I will make Chief.

Let's hope so. I really like this team. I like our goalies too. They just need to get themselves straight. Someone posted on here that before Bryz got the "flu", his last eleven games were like 2.25 and .925 or something along that. And that is all we would need.
