Anyone read Engels blog about the Habs acquiring Carter? He is saying that rumours have the Flyers trying to re acquire Carter. These rumours are ridiculous..

is it asking too much to have competent hockey writers and reporters who aren't all about drama. ok, we acknowledge Bryz MUST be better.....more consistent. that 4th goal was horrible. He was asked the question about it and gave an honest answer.....basically I miss judged it. of course Barkan kills him by saying no kidding. WTF do you want. he said he (frank)ed up on the play. Said he has to be better. so if he says no comment they would kill him. he answers, they kill him. he can play a stretch of 7-8 games with a 1.78 (or whatever it was) and have a terrible game and the comments come out that he has yet to win a game or play well. she is terrible and he is a drama queen.

Have you tested these theories in NHL 12 yet? Until then it is not confirmed nor valid

Dont need NHL 12 to do addition and subtraction. But I do see it's the time of day for jerks and trolls to hit the boards, so I'll just stay away till most of them are gone...

If Barkann were killed for his errors as much as Bryz has been the last week plus, Barkann would have had 5 funerals, a zombie resurrection, and a final-putdown by Ash all in 1 day.

franchise briere?
- 2Real

What do you mean?

If they decide to give teams a mulligan next year, Briere would most likely be the first person I would sit down and talk to about it. I really think he would understand the situation, and would still be will to sign another contratct with Philly at a lower cap hit. His kids are in the area, and he is settled in here. Thats my reasoning behind that. I don't think Briere isnt worth his contract, you gotta look at the big picture down the road. Every forward excpept for JVR and Talbot will have their contracts expire by the time briere's ends

I have heard if they amnesty a player, that player cant sign with the same team.

yea carter back in Philly good one

- 2Real

If he can be had for Shelley, Walker and a 4th rounder, I'll take him.

Oops. Looks like that won't work with the cap. Bummer Looks like he'll be missing wide open nets on some other playoff team.

I dont think the amnesty clause will allow bought out contracts to be resigned with the same team.

But I agree with you, I would talk to Briere first and ask if he would waive his NTC to go to a team that would be willing to keep his current contract, or if hew would rather get paid and try and sign where he wants, but might not get the NTC or NMC without taking a much lower salary...

I know this will never happen, but Briere and a pick to Islanders, Islanders Amnesty, Briere resigns with Philly for 4 mil with a NTC... lol Collusion.

In those situations they typically do not allow a team to buy out a guy and then re-sign him at a lower deal. He becomes a UFA, but the team that bought him out cannot re-sign him. It is unlikely any CBA would put that differently.

Hence why you need more cap space to sign the other expiring contracts, especially when you have potential franchise players in there.

Per Panotch

We are all riding the storm (it's all about Bryz).

I didn't know it was raining in Edmonton.

One thing is for sure, fans are rallying around all the negative poop about Bryz and hoping he does well.

Glass if half full...

- phi1671

That's interesting. Is Tim saying the fans are rallying around Bryz? I hope so. The media just puts out what they think the fans want to hear. If, like me, fans think that the media has gone too far with the Bryz-bashing hopefully they'll realize it and back off. I'm not happy with Bryz and I've been critical of him, but the way the media has treated him has made me want to support him.

Totally agree with this move..More work and a sense that the coach will go with you until you sort it out is the way to go.

No, Tim would never say something positive.
I'm suggesting due to what i have read lately that the fans are rallying around Bryz because of all the negativity.
I agree with your take on the media.

Thats not nearly good enough.. should be more like 2.02 and .954
- jak521

Lundqvist is .940. .954 is a tall order. but if we could get 2.13 .925 consistently, I would be one happy camper
