I hear you. All of us sitting on our asses agree with you.

However, market dictates price and talent alone (not his excess baggage) would dictate he should earn more.

But being a business, it is Carter's own fault if he falsely believed he would never be shopped around.

He got what he deserved and has to live with it.

He seems to be turning into that guy that will only play if he's pampered and happy...Look at Iggy...He loves Calgary, but if he were to be traded you know he'd play his heart out every night for his new team...It doesn't look like Carter's swinging that way...

I kinda feel like I should feel bad for Habs fans.

It's one thing to need a rebuild. It's another thing to have a GM who's not going to accept that fact for another 2 years

You mean like the Leafs organization since...well, a while?

Absolutely a good thing moving him out. We should know too after fiascos with Emery, Redden etc.

Exactly......we don't have many high-end prospects and getting rid of them now for a single player might be short term gain but long term pain.

The only thing I would be willing to do is a single draft pick no higher than 2nd round and maybe a solid prospect but not a high-end prospect for a goaltending upgrade rental.

- leafs93

You guys make it seem like we are willing to give up the WORLD for Carter... who is carter? NASH? i dont think so... if anything Carter's value went down a little bit with what was traded for him. Leafs have a ton of youth and prospects and draft picks, heck we drafted 2 first rounders last year so RELAX.

If a 1st rounder, 3rd rounder, and Voracek got Carter... im pretty sure a 1st Rounder, 3rd Rounder, Scrivens, and a prospect/player on the leafs roster can get Carter(kulemin, gunner, franson, aulie,) heck i would even think we wouldnt even have to give up colborne or kadri.

My biggest fear tonight is that Reimer gets a shutout.

If reimer gets back into form we wouldnt need to worry about getting a goalie. Thus we have Reimer back and The monster who can steal us games like he did for most of the season and is the REASON why were in 8th spot.

The time to wait for Reimer to get back into form has past, there are only 22 games left for the Leafs.

Hopefully get Nabby for cheap and without sacraficing too much future.

Nabby is being resigned by the islanders and the islanders have no interest in trading nabby................

Better off going for a long term goalie anyways, Burke is definitely looking at cory schneider or bernier from LA

They did talk on the radio about Leafs rumored to acquire Nabby just prior to Gustavsson going on a roll which then cooled things off.

I would prefer Schneider 1st and then Bernier 2nd ahead of Nabby. But at what cost?

Query

When someone has played more games out of form then he has in form, what is his true form?

Someone should ask Allaire and Burke that question.

He's an improvement over the way the Leafs goalies have played the last 2 weeks. 27 goals in 6 games while battling for a playoff spot.

Isn't Harding supposed to be great? With Backstrom the wild could move him. I say do it up, if a deal can't be made with Grabovski(sp?) then maybe include him in a trade. Or find another one, maybe with Kadri.

EDIT: i mean leafs resigning grabs

I agree with your order. I almost hope Van wins the Cup with Luongo which could make Schneider expendable. Schenieder most certainly won't be moved if at all until the off season.

I guess Bernier could be had as LA is in need of immediate help.

Chill its either we get bernier or schneider or nothing. With the price tag on them, thats up to the Gms on who to trade
