Good morning, well if the habs are going to go for Carter and not look to rebuild, then go for Nahs as well at least then we have 2 guys who can put the puck in the net. Trade plekanec, Suban kostisyn and a 2 rounder. I know before everybody says I am nuts, I am just throwing in out there.

Not only is this guy a fraud, but im fairly sure he even put out a blog explaining hes a fraud and hes sorry and all that. I dont think the Leafs are goin after Carter.. I think the only player they would acquire from clb would be Pahlsson. Nash is gonna cost waaaaay too much for this organization, and Carter would likely cost alot more than the Leafs wanna give up. I wouldnt be against getting Carter, theres obviously the chemistry with Lupul, but if Columbus really wants to get rid of his long term deal they gotta make it worth it.

While some think Carter is trouble in the locker room, or parties to hard, or wipes his butt from the front. I believe he would be a perfect fit for the Leafs second Line.

Exactly......we don't have many high-end prospects and getting rid of them now for a single player might be short term gain but long term pain.

The only thing I would be willing to do is a single draft pick no higher than 2nd round and maybe a solid prospect but not a high-end prospect for a goaltending upgrade rental.

Unless it is a 100% certainty he won't re-sign, I wouldn't trade Grabo for Bernier.

I would love to see the Habs get Carter. That would be investing over 12.5 mil into 2 players (Gomez and Carter) who project to have combined 25-30 goals and -16 for this year and probably NOT make the playoffs.
