If carter comes to T.O cant see him being a full time 1st line center but more like our secondary scoring on the second line. if we get Carter and we lose Grabo who will be our secondary scoring? Kulimen and Mac cant do it...

I really don't mean to be rude but your last few blogs have made me think your sources are always differing in opinion compared to the insiders on TSN and Sportsnet.

Not only is this guy a fraud, but im fairly sure he even put out a blog explaining hes a fraud and hes sorry and all that. I dont think the Leafs are goin after Carter.. I think the only player they would acquire from clb would be Pahlsson. Nash is gonna cost waaaaay too much for this organization, and Carter would likely cost alot more than the Leafs wanna give up. I wouldnt be against getting Carter, theres obviously the chemistry with Lupul, but if Columbus really wants to get rid of his long term deal they gotta make it worth it.

Ok so if we assume that the new CBA will come out very similar to this one, and keep deals like this somewhat feasible, then yes it may cost you 5million to have a thrid liner.

But if that's the cost of a third liner don't expect me to buy tickets to watch this malarky.

I still think the Leafs end up getting him.

Grabs will be shipped somewhere for a late first, with that pick and perhaps Kadri making up the gist of a Carter deal.

Not saying I'd do it...but I doubt BB lets the deadline go by without doing something if we don't manage 3 of 4 points this weekend

I could see Grabovski ending up in DC to be honest; the trigger is about to released after these last picnics the Caps decided to take part in.

2.5 for a fourth liner, you think that makes him more valueable?...only way CGY drops that salary is new exceptions in CBA for buyouts.

Leafs do not NEED Rick Nash. It would cost way to much and Burke is not willing to give up that much or schenn, don't see how there is so many rumours regarding schenn, when Burke made it clear he doesn't want to trade him... If Burke were to pursue a player of Nash's caliber, he should go after Parise in the summertime.

As of now, the team needs a reassurance of a goaltender, looking at cory schneider or bernier from LA.

And of course the team needs a 1st line center-man. Leafs and Burke should 100% be on Carter despite Carter not being the best of play-maker, regardless he is a center-man who can put the puck in the net.

Other notable players regarding Getzlaf and Stasny i see as players not being traded. Number 1, Getzlaf is Anahiems only top centerman, when the time comes to resign Getzlaf there will be a large amount of capspace that Anahiem will be able to use to pay off perry and getz. No struggles there and plus Anahiem is not in a full rebuild mode. Number 2, Stasny is a player that may or may not be traded if not this year then the next. Though his salary cap is holding down the Avs, Colorado is technically in a full rebuild mode with draft picks and young players. Still with the LARGE amount of capspace they have, they surely can keep Stasny if they really wanted to or bring in more youth.
