There is another reason they wont.. They have to take back equal salary to stay above the cap floor.

Didn't he say a very good "2nd line center"? Getzlaf is a bonafide 1st line center.

I think he said he would be a 2nd on the Hawks.....

If it is Getzlaf, Sunday's game just got significantly bigger.

Getzlaf was the first guy who came to my mind as well. He can play the point on the PP...

Please people, its not Derek Roy! JJ said its someone of importance that would have a significant effect of the Hawks organization. Roy is small, yet talented player. But he doesn't help the PP/PK/Special Team as described in the blog. If StanbBow is aiming for the bleachers then we're all off with the Stantsy talk. As someone already mentioned Geztlaf would be SICK in a 'Hawks sweater. I know the Ducks are right on the cusp of the 8th spot but they ain't getting any younger with some of the players they have on their team.
I really wish any deal that Bowman is trying to pull would happen already, but I know its best to wait before we allpick up the pitchforks & torches and run him outta town. A solid Centre would be great but has to have another move in his back pocket ready to go if something falls through...preferrably a Defenseman that's big, nasty, has a lil grit & sandpaper on his resume.

Im dying with curiosity

I would have guessed Plekanec if it was to improve your PK, not PP. Not that I really want to see him gone from the Habs, but I could see him really solidifying your team, especially as he could play as a true #2 centre on your team.

Plus he'd probably look "okay" with Sharp and Hossa.

Maybe this will help out..

The only thing that scares me about aiming bit is there is a big risk or missing big..

I agree.

I brought him up the other day as the perfect 2nd line center for this team. Not sure the money would work though.

They're busy. Stuff's getting out. LOTS of conversations going on.

If they got the C I heard about and Al's dman, it would be a nice trade deadline. They'd be well fortified for a serious Cup run.

I saw it. I had Caddyshack on in the background. Sounded fitting at the time.

Nice to hear. This is one of those prime situations where you shouldn't get to high or low.. Like I said, aiming high sometimes sets you up for a big fall..
