Don't watch much Habs hockey, but hockeyreference.com lists Plekanec as a LW not a center.

What gives?

OK...the Canadiens website does list him at Center...nevermind.

- ArlingtonRob

Plekanec is a C - he usually plays with rotating wingers - lately it has been Bourque with Darche - during his best year he had AK46 and Kovalev on the wings

Any time. FWIW, some like him, some don't. I think he's a really good player playing over his head.

Subban is untouchable right now in MTL, save for an offer they couldn't refuse.
- andru2797

I would think if we handed over some picks, and some farm talent as well as took gomez I bet they would part with him and pack his bags for him.

The Kings are a mess this year...such high expectations and they simply cannot score.

3-0 Colorado in second.

Bruins up on Blues 4-2 with 7 left in 3rd.

Nope. It's like saying if a team offered Chicago picks and farm hands, and took Frolik and Olesz, but you had to include Leddy, would you? And I believe Subban has a higher ceiling then Leddy.

PK isnt going anywhere

MaxPac is the key young Forward
PK - key young Dman
Price - goalie

They are building around those 3 guys over the next few years to emerge around the leaders of the team

Drew Doughty is a mystery to me. I though he would be what Erik Karlsson has been...very strange happenings in LA indeed.

Have you seen the Gomez contract? Not a chance we should touch that...

Yup. I actually think they have some real nice complementary pieces as well with Leblanc, Kristo, Tinordi, Beaulieu and now Geoffrion. If they could deal one or two of Plekanec, Gionta and Kostitsyn either now or this off-season AND grab a top 5 pick this June, it might be the perfect time to rebuild MTL into the juggernaut the fans here deserve to see, not the mediocre mess it's been for 15 years.

No one will. At least Campbell is still a productive player. That's what made him tradeable. gomez wouldn't even be enticing to a team that wants to reach the floor. The sad thing is MTL gave up Ryan McDonagh to get him. I mean I understand they had to in order to sign Gionta and Cammalleri, but I suspect Glen Sather would have given him up for nothing or close to it.

Karlsson is an amazing find...coupled with Gonchar, it's no surprise the Sens are much improved.

And Paul McLean just looks like a great coach.

I agree but I would trade AK46 first - he has been replaced with the acquisition of RBourque - then move Gionta and move Plekanec as a last resort of the 3

I also believe that Campoli may be CHI bound again on Monday - any thoughts from CHI fans?

I concur--didn't even know where to begin with some of this.

And Stamkos too.

Sure, he is on the market!

I read your earlier post about the Buff-Downie fight; is that you along the glass in the 'Hawks sweater?

Yeah...Karlsson-Jared Cowen I think could be among the best 1-2 defense punch in the league within 2-3 years.

I would be shocked to see them acquire Campoli, only to let him go again this summer.

As for trading AK46, the trouble is that you're gonna end up paying much more for someone with his skillset on the open market and he's still young. I think you re-sign him.

Plekanec has the highest trade value and will bring the greatest return, something you'd look for in a rebuilding team (assuming they are one).

Yup...they weren't gonna keep winning at a 75% clip. I don't care who their coach is.

Yup, just like Det at a .750 clip and PHX at a .850 clip, each over the last 10 games.

Has anyone mentioned Weiss as a possibility? 3.1MM cap hit, signed thru next season.

Which is why I stated earlier to bury him in the minors or send his butt to another planet to keep him off our books. His deal is only good for like two more years. And I bet Montreal would trade plekanic as well as Subban if they were able to get some of our talented Minor kids coming up in the next year. They took Lars off the blues hands for Halak, and Halak was a stud for them.

I'm just thrilled the Hawks stopped playing at a .000 clip

Beat Dallas and then back on the road for 5 of 6.

The challenges do not stop for the remainder of the season. If they make the playoffs they will have earned it.
