This guy's filled with so much hate for the Canucks, it's actually kind of funny.

I blame that on my sister in law.

And make no mistake about it...Once they were engaged, burrows grabbed Weber and pulled him down to the ice on top of him...before Webs could go all "Andreas Lilja" on him.
- wings-suck

Good thing cause Weber would have broke his hand on Burrow's turtle shell!

I sit a couple of seats down from Sec 106, and he said that he saw legwand throwing up on the bench during the third period....so I'll give him a pass this time.

This morning, Trotzie explained that the east-west passing last night was due to VAN flooding the zone, trying to create turnover situations. It is an effective method of theirs. BT acknowledged it is not an every game affair, but NSH has to control the puck first, before entering the neutral zone.

Weber, unlike yourself, is a classy person. He wouldn't pound on someone 40+ pounds lighter than himself. He took Burrows to the ice to end it.

BTW, Burrows was exonerated in the alleged biting incident. Get your nicknames more relevant and meaningful.

Looks like the Preds are getting back to the idea of when they score 3 they win...witness the last 4 games.

Really look forward to (the highlights of) a Nashville vs St.Louis playoff matchup. Two really defensive teams grinding it out. I hope they play each other because I'd feel horrible for any other fans having to suffer through another series like the one we had to watch last year. At least Blues fans are used to it.

Best of luck to Preds

A few stats that I found interesting...

Anyone else notice that the top four teams in the Central lead the league in home wins (with Nashville in a three-way tie for fourth), but that Nashville is the only team in the Central with a winning record on the road?

Nashville is tied for the fifth most road wins in the league right now...second in the West to only Vancouver.

Detroit has played 3 more away than home (scary), but St Louis has already played 7 more at home than away. Chicago had played 1 more home than away while Nashville has the same number home/away.

I love this sort of stuff!
Now tell me, does it bode well for the Preds?

???

We have the 4th best home record in the league.

edit: Of course, 1st would be better.

It's actually quite simple. After our next game, all we have to do is win 4 out of the next 7 games, 7 times in a row...the first 3 are just practice.

Instead of taking the time to take a shot at this team you could have actually checked out if you were telling the truth. The Preds are 11th in the league in GF/G this season and second on the PP. Hardly a grinding defensive team fans are suffering to watch this year.

He may have escaped punishment but we all witnessed it. As for class, I never claimed to be classy.

- Ben37

I didn't say he escaped punishment, I said he was exonerated. What you witnessed includes assumptions on your part -- incorrect assumptions as it turned out.

He has been exonerated by Canuck fans.
- Ben37

Cling to your delusions, then. The league (of course) exonerated him. It doesn't matter that you (or others) don't. It just makes your position one with no credibility. Besides it's really a moot point now...long gone.

Legwand was struggling last night. He scored by sneaking behind Vancouver on a line change. The goal was the only thing that saved him from being called out by BT. Fisher looked strong and Leggy got Fish sick.

Wilson looked like the best player on the ice last night. DP needs find a stronger center to get Spaling off that line. Tootoo with 2 right hands doesn't help either!

Loved watching Gill push Kesler around!!! Good pick up by DP.

- slash&smash

Gill played him well -- which hasn't been the case in the past. We might see how it will go in the future.

Ah Man, dont let facts get in the way of a good hate.

Neither team was in top form last night. Both goalies played well. couple of those tripping calls were highly suspect. Beer was stale. Other than that a great ngith @ the Bridge. Now.......

DP you did good on the d-man. now lets see what you can do fro that mystical top-6 offensive people.

- im4preds

Rinne was excellent. He was due to have a good game against the Canucks. The first three were not what I usually see from him.

They have done well at home...I guess I should have said "Start dominating". They are 19-7-4 which is pretty good. They have won 19 lost 11...pretty good. But the top tier teams for the most part are almost unbeatable in their house right now. I just want the Preds to start making that a reality for them.

Maybe you should check their record. They have been dominating at home since December 10th. Including the loss in SO to the Blues tonight, they are

8-0-2 in their last 10 games at home,
10-1-2 in their last 13 at home, and
15-2-2 in their last 19 at home.

Maybe not exactly 23 home wins in a row...but how can you be complaining? What reality will be good enough for you?

*sigh* Points, goals, stats etc have NOTHING to do with watching good hockey.

I HOPE preds do well. I am HAPPY for their fans because they have actually embraced the game unlike many other places.

Don't try to tell me, however, that they are exciting to watch compared to Detroit or Chicago or Vancouver etc.

Believe me, when your team goes from one style to the other you will notice and it will be amazing.

Best of luck to preds hope they win a cup and the town has a month long party.
