When comparing guys of different generations you need to look at how they dominated or played against thier peers.

Orr dominated the league more so than any other player in history (including Gretz IMO), Lindstroms is great but doesnt dominated the league.

No they would just move aside. I think the starting point was 84mph. Each team had a guy with an old World War II radar gun and a megaphone. As soon as the gun hit 84 they would scream May Day May Day Bail the F out .

Great point. For most of Orr's prime, the second best d-man in the league was generally considered to be Brad Park, who was certainly a Hall of Famer, but not even close to Orr.

You also have to question why L.A. would want Stafford. They already have an underachieving winger in Penner whom they are allegedly shopping. Add in the fact that Brown is their captain and it doesn't add up...unfortunately.

We played street hockey with old equipment like that in the late 80s early 90s. One of the kids older brothers hand me downs, and yes it hurt like hell.
