But all you've done (and you know I love you) is paint him with that outlook and provided no article or video proving it...so many people say it but nobody even tries to show any proof of it cause they're having too much fun calling him a cocky cry baby.

True.
I am making assumptions here and going by one comment from him, and plenty of roomer and conjecture out there.

So, there is always the chance that I am way off base in my opinion... or where there is smoke there is fire.

I did also state many times on this board that I felt like Wilson handled him poorly and has not been fair.

better offense = better defense?
- noename09

Sure if Toronto actually scores and goes up 3-2 (or whatever it might have been), NJ changes how they play, takes more chances.

The goalies blow yes, upgrade them if you can, but still look to upgrade your #1 Center at the same time

DarrenDreger: Howson also said he's received a lot of "creativity" in trade interest with a variety of Blue Jackets players.

I was pretty creative when I suggested Komi + Lombardi for Carter no?? NO?!

GM's tossing him lots of pretty anchors I suspect.

for what it's worth... Ek's got the Leafs in on 2 goalies that he "knows" about...

I would think if he wasn't looking at goalies before yesterday, he certainly will be today. That just can't happen, and the look on his face after each bad goal was pretty telling.

Nonis, last week. "We're not looking at any goalies."

Nonis this week. " We're not really looking at any goalies"

luckily my sister has 3 kids (boys) so that more than fills the need for grandkids, for now anyway. Youngest is 19 months. I figure another year and that will kick in again......

well, last thing you want to do is tell the media you are looking to upgrade your goaltending before you actually do it - good luck getting any saves then!

although, if they really KNOW they are playing for a job, might light a fire

brings win and you're in to a whole new level - get a shut-out and you won't be traded

The Leafs Goals scored has ranked:

I wold love to see some of the offers...

but then of course, if Ek posted any, he'd get 47 pages calling him an idiot for making up such a ridiculous trade offer

From what I heard, from a very reliable source, who was at the practise is this.... Kadri showed up for practise one day, clearly with blood shot eyes, and a very lackadazical/joking attitude. It is that incident, that set Wilson off.

Sad but true story

If Toronto had a Center like Carter who is a goal scorer, the score probably would have been much different because Bozak had 2 great chances created by Lupul and Kessel and couldn't score on either. If the #1 line is not scoring we are probably losing. If you upgrade your #1 center, you upgrade your #2/#3 also at the same time.
- senstroll

no, i disagree.. if the defense and goaltending cant hold strong than it doesnt matter what the offense does.. in the end.. the team gets deflated

the leafs scored 3 goals.. it should of been enough.. if you took away all the weak goals (3 of them) the leafs win 3-1

firewagon hockey just doesnt work.. the leafs wont get very far winning games 5-3 or 5-4.... that only works for so long and then the opposition shuts down the attack and the leafs are left with nothing.. and then.. lose.

I'm assuming that as long as they are talking to Grabovski about resigning nothing happens with Carter.. If talks go south within the next 24-48 hours... Carter in, Grabovski out.

I think the GM's offers are not likely to be as insulting as the one's Ek makes up. The GM's are probably pretty respectful of each other for the most part. If they don't like each other, they probably just don't talk to each other

It sure would be interesting to be a party to the various discussions though. I bet the GM's get into talking about scenarios that we haven't even dreamed of...

That is why Ek, despite trying to predict every possible combination, is out to lunch on nearly everything that happens and the only time he is on target, even close, is when it appears elsewhere.

I sincerely hope that a Carter decision is not based on Grabovski.

Any deal Grabovski signs now will be inflated. As much as I am a big fan, he is too small for the Leafs. They will be making a mistake if they sign him.

They've probably set a deadline for negotiations so BB can atleast threaten the trade.

Isn't Ruutu's deadline today? That may help set the bar for 2nd line scorers.

I don't want to see us lose Grabovski for nothing.. The amount of money thats rumoured is $5-5.5m per year.. thats insane!!Carter is only $5.2m cap hit and he is a legit #1 centre

As tiny as he is, he plays about 12 inches bigger than Jeff "Soft as Liquid Crap" Carter.
