I heard 4.4milly x 4 years, no?

Is Grabo worth much more then Ruutu?

Enroth with Gus as backup this year...and then you can have Grabo and a few others to help with scoring and BOOM, ahead of Montreal.

Everyone wins.

My honest take on the carter contract is he left about 1mill on the table to remain in Philadelphia long term. He obviously had no intention on winding up in Columbus, and i think he really wants out. Hince the sub par play.
Taking a look at the player he's huge, though not overly physical, and has scored 40, even the coveted kessel hasn't done that yet! Also there is no rule the says we need Kessel and carter on the same line, he may click better with a play making winger (kadri). Basically If he can be got we need to give it a go, Big 40 goal scoring centers will hardly ever be so available.
TO Bluejackets: Lombardi, Schenn, the monster, grabo(if willing to extend)+2nd round draft pick.

TO Toronto: Carter

I like your thinking, until you get to your trade proposal.

From the Blue Jackets' perspective:
Lombardi has a history of concussions, and his contract is not insured, meaning if he goes down again, the team still has to pay the salary. No way in heck they take that on.

Schenn - sure.

The Monster - has absolutely no trade value whatsoever. Seriously. Sorry, but it's true, Leafs Nation.

Grabo (if willing to extend). I can't see the Blue Jackets willing to offer him $5.5 million a year, so my guess is he would prefer to explore the free agency market. No way the Blue Jackets trade for him unless he is already nailed down for another 4-5 years.

rw today in press confrence was asked about komi and army and what it would take for them to get back in. he said right now he likes their d and all 6 of the guys are playing good and he likes that setup... lol no more komi. on army he said u have to be blind to not see the numbers this year and likes boyce's speed. no more army this year either.

7 million on the bench... just great... prob can ship armstrong for a 4rth round pick or something if the team needs cap space

When will you learn that the more negative you are about our current roster players, the harder it is for Burke to get top dollar for them!?!?

Not allowed in the new CBA.

So quit wasting everyone's time with these ridiculous trade proposals.

This is HockeyBuzz - not some internet site where you can just throw out names and draft picks, and not worry about whether or not it makes sense.

I was watching the Marlies game last night, and Jeff Finger was awesome.

He'd be a top 4 defenceman on at least 20 NHL teams.

25, probably.

4.75 per for Ruutu... ouch.

Grabovski and his 5-5.5 per doesn't sound so bad anymore.
