It is an interesting proposal. You really gotta believe that Schneider is the real deal if you are giving up Lupul.

If I am the Leafs, I think I would do it. I do not think Lupul will repeat this season again and I think he benefits from Kessel a lot.

The goalie market is much more shallow than the forward market. Schneider can garner quite a bit of attention come trade deadline.

B. Schneider is not the only option out there.
C. Can the Canucks afford to resign Schneider for what Schneider will ask for?
D. Schneider wants to be a #1 that's not possible while Luongo is there
E. Lupul is on a PPG pace.
F. Canucks only have $8.5M in 2012-2013 cap and 17 rosters players signed.

The bottom line that Schneider is unproven and has had the benefit of playing behind a team that scores a lot. Schneider is far from a guarantee, but at the same time might be worth the risk... Just not a that price!

Both Schedules are even, However, Its going to be a 4 pony race, You just can't compare the Leafs to the Jets Schedule as techinically the Jets could Surpass the panthers in the division and then we would be chasing the Panthers for the 8th spot.
