I'd much rather go for Gaustad he can do the same and is 56.2% of faceoffs.

He and Pahlsson are UFA at seasons end but Gaustad is 4 years younger if they could resign him it would be well worth it.

Couts in the Cote Suite for the playoffs?

With all of the young kids, and minus Pronger I think you need guys who have been all the way, and know what it takes.

Pahlsson's job in the Ducks run was primarily to shut down the other teams top players. He has a ring, and I believe that experience shouldnt be undervalued.

Gaustad is interesting, but I feel Pahlsson would come cheaper, and is better defensively.

Sabres rumored to be asking for a first for Gaustad, that is pretty rich, but he would help (if the price was better).

I am starting to imagine a scenario where he is removed from the PK soon if him and Read dont right the ship... I say get lappy in here and teach them what it takes... I havent seen a blocked shot from a forward on the PK in FOREVER!

If so then I pass and look around maybe Pahlsson would be cheaper but it sounds like an expensive market.

Apparently Bryz's comments mean he doesn't get it and last night was all about him. And now Barkann states they have mortgaged the future by trading these picks for Grossman and Kubina.

At this point it seems fairly apparent he's just doing this on purpose.

And is completely clueless, to boot. It would be possible to rouse rabble without being stupid about it.

Here is the link to my article on the Tomas Demel scare in the Czech Extraliga last Friday. Kind of puts a little perspective on how silly some of the things we obsessively worry about in hockey ultimately are.

Brown is apparently being shopped.

He is something that would be here for the future also and I think he needs a huge change of scenery.

Bill said the same thing, maybe change around the forward PK pairs.

I wouldn't mind seeing Simmonds getting a shot on PK.

Future looks dim indeed, with G, JVR, Schenn, Couts, Voracek, Read, Simmonds etc etc.

What a maroon.

Probably because the threat, much like Barry's cranial cavity, was empty.

I get worked up. Sure.

However some of the things the Philly media chooses to write has me wondering.

Why the hell does the Flyers organization even allow these idiots around the team?
