If they involve the Coyotes they do (have).

And this IS the NHL. Consistency in anything is not a strong suit.

Until they are sold...Still, if they're going to put the kibosh on a Pronger deal, they'd have to start stepping in on deals that see a guy and pick get moved for futures or something like that.

To me, that's not even something to worry about now. That's like being concerned about Briere's salary in 3 years. In June of 2010, did anyone think that both Carter and Richards would be gone? Not even two years later the face of the tam radically changed.

I'm not worried about it.. but it could be done then again none of us know what the new CBA brings.. im not saying trade Bryz but it may not be so impossible obviously that so far down the road... as for Brieres contract im not worried about it at all

And one woman in a Jets jersey appeared to be clapping. Wha?

Did anyone see the chick next to the old man behind the net... I only saw her for a split second, but it made my jaw drop... Very rare I see something like this... Just wondering if anyone else saw her too.

yea with the Cap floor if the Bryz experiment just didnt work here down the road it may be possible for a trade.... alot of trades were made this offseason to get to the cap floor or overpaying for players in FA

My point being that would there be more benefit to a team trying to stay above the cap floor than to the team trying to stay under the cap where the pick goes to the team trading the player rather than the team getting the player.

The Flyers paid premiums to dump Gagne's and Upshall's salaries because the benefit the Flyers' derived from freeing up cap space outweighed the value of the player.

For a team that is struggling with the cap floor, they would derive more benefit from paying a player $1.5M to not play while taking a $4M cap hit than to actually pay $4M to a player (or perhaps be OVERpaying) to get the same cap hit than the Flyers would by having to live with the cap hit through the summer. In this case it may be worth the other team throwing a pick BACK OUR WAY.

51.2% on faceoffs, sadly that would be 2nd on the Flyers among those who mainly take them.

He along with Moen very key in shutting down other teams top lines on the way to the Ducks winning the cup.

He is 34, and has a respectable cap hit. A kind of under the radar trade that could really help the team.

I'd much rather go for Gaustad he can do the same and is 56.2% of faceoffs.

He and Pahlsson are UFA at seasons end but Gaustad is 4 years younger if they could resign him it would be well worth it.
