Either or, depends how good Grigs or RNH get in/on the dot... Speaking of RNH when is he back or is he done for the season? I sure hope he is not made of glass- as Landeskog seems more and more like the guarantee that he was forecasted to be... I mean RNH has been more than great when playing... but he has not been playing and he hurt himself on a weird play that looked innocent... - saskoil21
RNH seems to be hinting he'll be back in contact jerseys in the next week. Not putting too much into his injuries just yet, one freak fall and a hard hit right after returning doesn't make him glass. I'd like to see him put 10 pounds on this summer and come back at 185. I don't think there is anyway we move RNH to the wing, they type of player he is it would not end well. Grigs has the ability to play both and the size to back it up. No clue about his faceoff % |

At this point in the rebuild I just want the best player available with #2. It's no the end of the world of Ringo can't play until 13-14. And it's not the end of the world if Murray takes a couple years to make the NHL. Honestly the pieces we need to make this team a playoff team next year shouldn't cost that much. - Lahey
See my quote sparked quite the discussion! lol I was just looking at the draft rankings and thought I'd see how you guys felt about it.
I personally think you draft the best player available, no matter what you need. I think you'll end up Grigorenko...if not then maybe throw a curveball and draft Filip Forsberg. You do already have Paarjarvi,Omark and Klefbom. |

Yeah, I used to be only for drafting a d man like Murray but especially looking at someone like Barker who was drafted behind Ovi and Malkin... defensemen are way harder to predict how they will turn out. I'd rather draft Grigs, maybe try and acquire another 1st and target a defenseman with that. |

Why, thank you. I love hockey, I personally think the Oilers are becoming something special. It just takes time. Some people on here just make me laugh.
I got called a troll the other day for telling a bunch of Sabres fans that expect to make the playoffs that they need a 15-3-5 record to make it.
I didn't think it was in bad taste, it was just the truth lol |

That hit from Brown was below average hit in the NHL... Its early but I am definitely concerned... and no I do not want to rush him... its just I want him to win the calder too... speaking of which... who was the last oiler to win the calder? |

Agree totally... I am not sure if we could get a 4th for Barker right now... maybe a used condom?? |

The curveball could be someone behind us winning the lottery forcing us into the #3 slot and taking a d-man. |

Grigorenko if we're 2. Murray if we're 3.
Either way we'll be a better team.
Who cares if rnh wins calder. Hes the best rookie regardless.
Gonna be a great one. |

Nuge would be the first oiler. Gretzky didn't win it when he came to the NHL because I think he played in the WHA before he came to the NHL so he technically wasn't a rookie (correct me if I'm wrong) |

Biggest thing for me is he is consistent. He showed a lot of these glimpses last year and earlier this year, but then he'd show how not to play the next game.
And WTF is with you? - Lahey
Gilbert has been way better this year. I have no problem admitting it. im happy to be wrong actually. |
