You should look at the stats and games after being traded.
28GP and 15 points. A little better. I haven't watched many sens games but from the highlights it looks like he's getting chances, just a matter of burying them.

Edit: and he's a +9

- ystoil

He has something like 1 point in his last 10 games....maybe 2.

All he has really done is come back Earth after his strong start. He was always better than what he showed in Phx, but never as good as Pilgor ranted about.

And that is why Turris gets a bad rap here...Pilgor.

If you can't blame the butler, blame the zamboni driver.

The one that pisses me off is Benoit Pouliout. I can't believe the natural talent he has.

But turris is supposed to be elite....bonafide Superstar...and. 0.5ish ppg is not befitting the talent he has....

"Greater Good"...the team has improved since then and will most likely make the playoffs and generate oddles of additional revenue...and that's the name of the game.

You try and directly relate a surge in team standings to him...maybe in the begining right after the trade, but it has been 28 games and the team still chugs along holding their own in the standings, yet Turris has netted maybe 2 points in 10 games.

Maybe the trade wasn't as lopsided as some thought.

Is anyone else loving Petry more with every passing game? Holy crap has his learning curve ever accelerated. he took the extra minutes and ran with them. and when the hell did Tom Gilbert start throwing hits?
- GuyLaDouche

Biggest thing for me is he is consistent. He showed a lot of these glimpses last year and earlier this year, but then he'd show how not to play the next game.

And WTF is with you?

Ahh I feel so gipped, I saw flames logo and clicked BAHHH.

Yup we had our asses handed to us quite finely last night, no debating there. No excuses, we were at home no back to back no garbage like that. Good job, maybe we can re-kindle this BOA :D

Side note, our team is hurting and we just had another D go down :-( not looking good for this "playoff push"

Isn't that about the time Ottawa started climbing in the standings? His performance aside, it certainly looks like it did something for the team.
- OilCountryEast

He joined the Sens while they were on a hot streak. The Sens cooled off and Turris has one point in 8 games.

I would say the Sens hot streak did wonders for Turris (at least at the begining).

No disrespect meant, but who the (frank) is butler? All I heard is "if you just joined us Chirs Butler is out". I don't really recall the guy to be honest, but he sounding like he was more important than the guy operating the red light behind kipper yesterday.

I'm not sure who he's playing with. I know Ottawa was giving him prime ice and linemates at first.

I'm just waiting to see this break out superstar that Pilgor said he would be.

Let me say this...I'm not a Turris fan and never was...all I'm trying to say is that this move, for whatever reason, woke them up. It may have much/something/nothing to do with him but either way the move was the spark.

Didnt he become their #2 center after the trade?

Since you guys won't use it as an excuse...I'll help you out here...That team is a barely a shell of what you've been putting on the ice this year. Injuries played a part, don't know how big, but a part for sure.

He was a piece we acquired in the Regher trade, despite being a 5-6 defensman we have pushed him to number 1 pair with J Bow. That being said butler has done pretty well given the task that was handed to him.

More to the point is that now we have to put Babchuck into the lineup by the looks of things. We have enough injuries that loosing a D that would normally not be a big deal is a huge deal right now. Keep in mind we don't have the AHL depth that many teams have....

Question 2 is Cammy. I don't know what TSN is doing as they say he is hot with 4 points in 5 games, but only has 2 points in 6 games in CGY, so obviously the math is (frank)ed somewhere. How has he been though? I really don't remember his name being mentioned until the game was out of hand. Actually there were quite a few guys I didn't really hear about.

Well here are the last 5 games including last night and there are 3 goals 1 assist for Cammy. Yeah there wasn't anything worth talking about last night!
It was a complete garbage effort. Against LAK the other night he had a 65% Faceoff win, considering he isn't a center I am impressed with what he has been doing in the absence! (of course minus last nights awesome -2 and 33 % faceoff)

That might just be the dumbest thing I have ever read. I am going to bill Eklund for the time I spent reading that and maybe he will finally replace cloutier with someone half credible and worth reading. We all know that cloutier has no credibility and we put up with his ridiculous rumors (ellis and a 1st for hemsky or voynov and a 1st for hemsky just to name a few) but this is a new low for him. Ryan Ellis alone is overpaying for an uninspired Hemsky so to add a 1st round pick is stupid and Dean Lombardi said after the ryan smyth deal(s) that he would rather deal with Bernie Madoff than the Edmonton Oilers, so obviously that's out of the question too. After months of bashing his home town team and managment he comes up with this garbage because the Oilers finally won 1 of the last 10 against their provincial/divisional rival. Come on man you are a joke as a blogger and Eklund should be ashamed to have you representing his website. You have become the Gene Principe of blogging so let me beat you to it "that was a Hall of a game by the oilers last night"
