Winnipeg is tied too. Bet they get at least a point if not the win. Too late to hop om the Jets bandwagon? |

Ah, yes, there's the Gus we know and love.
3 goals on 21 shots. One softie. One so-so. One legit. - Leeman4Gilmour
But it's not the 30-shot mark yet. |

What do you guys think of Poni, excluding the goal?
I know he was said to disappear, but we haven't seen much of that yet. He's really just playing the grind-it-out go-to-net game on the third line, so maybe that's a change over top six minutes? |

After he got hit, he like moved up for some odd reason as if he wanted to look over Franson's stick and Poni shot it high five-hole. Watch the replay. Its hard to fault him on that one. It wasn't on the ice.
Clarkson's goal was a smart play by Clarkie getting behind the d-man creating a screen. He shot it quick too, so it surprised Gus and it went five-hole. Try being a goalie, it's not as easy as you think in that situation, you really have to hope it hits you. - _Zippy_
I admire your camaraderie, but those were soft goals. |

You're asking Leaf fans what we think of Poni? Let's just say that he would've had his choice of car and driver should he have needed a lift to Pearson Airport when he was traded. |

Which means he can make the next 18 saves. Time for a period of 5-forward units. |

Of course, and I wanted to see if his play today was different than what TO fans were saying about him. |

he's playing great for you guys.. its good to see.. i guess my biggest complaint of him as a leaf fan was he didnt really ever use his size properly. |

I can't fault him in NJ. Maybe not hard hitting, but uses his body to protect the puck.
Seems like he likes it here. Playing with Zubrus and Bernier, both are almost identical kind of players. They all just grind it out and go to the net, turning into DeBoer's go-to line. |

he seems to be thriving in deboer's system and its good to see.. think the devils look to ink him again in the offseason? suppose it would depend on asking price. |

It takes the right situation to get the most out of some guys. Maybe the same thing could happen with penner? |
