Komi has a NMC and ,modified NTC - as in a list of teams he will accept a trade too. I believe it's 10 teams. Would imagine his hometown islanders is on the list. - Big_Lightnin
Potentially I guess |

I would rather have Grabovski than Hemsky.
Datsyuk's suregery was timed so that he would get a couple weeks off, then some tune up time headed into the playoffs. It is not a concern for Detroit and certainly won't force any moves from them.
... if we sign Grabo it will be McCabe and Tucker all over again.

Frattin had like 2 or 3 goals in over 30 games. How is that better offensively? I like crabbs game - lotempio8119
He's also had some 8 pts in 8 games or something with the Marlies....
I think it's time he get another look.
Can't hurt with the way the 3rd line has been non-existent in the past 5 games. |

Fair enough....
And I'm of the opinion that Frattin is better in all facets of the game....now and in the future. - Pen15
Maybe. If that's the case then we know who Mac's replacement is going to be.. Although he may need to fight it out with Kadri |

Bored at work!!
Lots of size ands toughness inserted into the lineup
- steve362
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have Steve Ott, but not for Aulie, who despite his play lately is still going to be the better defenceman in the Dion trade
------------
Komi to the Isle I agree with. If we could weasel Josh Bailey out of NYI for him and a 2nd I'd take it
-----------
Grabs, a 3rd and D'amigo for a 1st and Helm, and a cond. 2nd if the Wings either make the finals, or if Grabs resigns.
-----------
Connolly, Grabo's 1st via DET, 2nd, Mac and Gusti to CBJ for Carter, Mason and Methot. We wouldn't be overpaying, and we'd dump Connolly's deal. This would be the only way I'd be interested in Carter as it must be tempting for some fool GM to overpay for him. If we can flip Carter and our own 1st rounder to LA for Kopitar I'd also do that, but that's another story |

Bozak has been arguable our most consistant forward - especially defensively - he gets waived? lol - steve362
Agree I've been very surprised at how's he's looked this year. He's actualy discovered the art of putting the puck in a yawning cage |

I don't think we need Crabb for scoring....we're pretty solid in that department...
I think we need some grit on the 3rd line. In that respect, Frattin is more physical and harder on the puck/boards....not to mention, he's more creative offensively. - Pen15
Did you read Zeisberger (I think) this past weekend.
He listed the Leafs forwards outside of the first line. They had an astonishing 3 goals in the past 153 man games between them.
I wouldn't say the Leafs are pretty solid anywhere. They have more holes than an Eklund roomer blog.

That worries me too, except that Grabo is 28, Tucker was 32 and McCabe was 31. |

Our third line could easily be:
Crabb-Boyce-Kulemin
Hard Working, Huge energy line. All are responsible defensively and have some creativity on offense. Couldnt we at least try it? - mfreedman
some ... don't you mean a hint of
We what Kulemin can do but the other two are just plugs with no finish.

It's a very real possiblity. He's 28 so this is his prime and this will be his last shot at cashing in big time. With the limited supply of Centres this summer it's not crazy to think he gets 4yr/20m |

Crabb's not really a plug.
I don't think last year's 30 goals season for Kuli was a fluke, he has a wicked shot and is hard-nosed.
With the right linemates he's a legit second line winger |

The ages are different. I think the end result is the same.
The Leafs are a good 5 years away from contending. I guess this based on future picks and trades and the young D core remaining mostly intact and hitting their peak.
At that time, Grabovski will not be a good 2nd line center, especially with the way he plays hard.

So....Grabo's a fall back for Hemsky? How exactly does that work Mike? - mykokes
Last 3 years:
Ales Hemsky: 114 GP 25 goals 64 assists 89 points - 5 0.78 ppg
Mikhail Grabovski: 193 GP 57 goals 75 assists 132 points +22 0.68 ppg
Comparable - toss up in who you'd want more depending on what you're looking for |

Like I said, we'd need to weasel hard. Either way NYI will end up with him in the end. His contract's a burden and he deserves to be ahealthy scratch on a regular basis. |

Yea, I'm losing my patience with Kadri.
He seems to want to play his own game mroe than anything and I just think he might be frustrated with the organization. |
