I think it would be a bad idea to trade Schenn, i really do, does he amount high enough to reach the pedestal of expectations the leaf fans have put him on? Likely not, but as his expectations come down, his talent and game will come up. You wont be getting the next Salming, but you will get a great shut down D for a long time to come, which is, if he pans out, will be a damn good thing for the leafs.

The fact that i have always backed the leafs not trading schenn, seems to go unnoticed, yup gardiner is great offensively, and moves up on the play, but in the future without a guy like schenn to stay back and be the anchor, good luck on him having the chances to do so. Now them playing together now or not, matters not, can you see them being paired in the future? years to come maybe? |
