F@ck ya!
The fact that teams are asking for Gardiner over Schenn is extremely telling.
Schenn is easily replaceable...Gardiner doesn't seem to be. - Fakepartofme
The new cap hit on Schenn plays a part in that |

I do concur. - Fakepartofme
I could see Bozak going the other way as part of a package for Carter; cheap contract, versatile center, young. Would make sense for CBJ too. |

Didn't Burke say yesterday that Schenn hasn't been/wont be offered to anyone...
Seems to me both Gardiner and Schenn are near untouchable.. |

And that seems what it should be. Everyone else, possibly Franson should be able to move. |

Good speed by TO thus far. NJ needs to settle down. |

yeah, well gardiner is showing signs of being a great point producer.. already getting over 20min a game.. schenn.. while he may be the face of the rebuild but he is what he is.. a very good stay at home d-man (he will be good, i believe this) BUT
stay at home defenseman arent all stars, arent HOFers and there is a reason for that.. its because there are so many of them.
far easier to find that smooth skaters with vision like gardiner |

Good point but in this case i believe that to be the truth...I say both are a big part of the team going forward.. |

Don't worry, we will put tons of pressure on the Devils then let in the first goal and it will all come crashing down. |

I think it would be a bad idea to trade Schenn, i really do, does he amount high enough to reach the pedestal of expectations the leaf fans have put him on? Likely not, but as his expectations come down, his talent and game will come up. You wont be getting the next Salming, but you will get a great shut down D for a long time to come, which is, if he pans out, will be a damn good thing for the leafs. |

Franson and Gunnarsson are pretty much untouchable too.
We've noticed Gunarsson's abscence, and Franson's an RFA, so we really are in a position of strength.
Liles is obviously making up the veteran constorium along with Dion.
That leaves Aulie and Komi.
Komi, I believe, can be moved.
Aulie is so damn hard to imagine moving. I'd almost put him ahead of of Schenn. I mean, they're both 'shut down' Dmen, but one's 6'5'' and is a year or two younger than Luke. It's just so hard to let him go as that could very well burn us in the long run.
Those who said we should have taken Myers over Schenn in that draft will agree with this |

Aye, but there are few of them that are great at what they do, and when these guys have a great game it doesnt show on the stats sheets so majority of fans dont see the big fuss, but your goaltending and coaches do, offense is great but great defense wins championships, yet rarely does it get praised as much as good offense. |
