Now now, we've had 4, count 'em four opportunities to make it to the cup finals.
One was a gretz factor
One was against the Carolina crappers the year we lost Berard.
it's not all brendan convery's and Jonas Hoglunds - AngryWhiteMale
Considering we haven't won a cup since 67, is the above really enough? |

I know people don't like Grammar Nazis, but seriously, if I have to backtrack and mentally insert commas, paragraph breaks etc. in order to make sense of what someone's saying it really takes up more effort than it should.
Plus, I just can't take people like that seriously. I mean, if you want somebody to have these broken, non-sensical yap-fests with go date a 16 year old girl or something. - AngryWhiteMale
can they be 18 year olds? please. can they, can they |

It's funny how when Wilson criticizes a player in the media, he's throwing them under the bus and shattering their confidence. When he defends and supports a player to the media, he's making excuses for lack of performance. - Zezel
as with anything, it can be spun to be negative or positive.. generally it all depends on the individual's point of view and most indivduals dont recognize this.
one person can say "kudos to wilson for defending his player" while another can say "the leafs are too accepting failure"

i have seen far worse days in leafland than these
the team is young, and is mainly inconsistant.. i remember the same results with a 30+ team with nothing in the system
that being said, i am hoping burke doesnt make the same mistake of all former leaf GMs and start selling off youth for immediate star power help.. cause lets face it, a single top tier forward isnt taking this team any further than its going to go... a small deal for a character guy would be the best move imo...
i think the leafs should go into sell mode and get whatever they can for under performing vets and ride the youth ther rest of the way - Dozzer
there is nothing remotely close to a star in the cupboards, if this bunch of spare parts can get one now, better pull the trigger |

Im not jumping all over grabs, or his ability or even the point he was trying to say, but without stats or anything else on his side, im not sure what he can use to back his very homeristic belief? I mean if it was one of you who said it mr rational leaf fan would be all over you for this belief, yet it is him who is taking the beating and getting upset and trying to dodge the onslaught, so it is no longer funny, and he has to bring it to a personal level, cause his argument held about as much water as basket, and was an uninformed homer opinion rather than a fact. I should be a lawyer. Cause his case just got tore the (frank) up and thrown out. |

I don't want Ott at nearly $3 mill. for two more seasons. Have we not learned from the Colby Armstrong mistake? |

stars dont win you championships
there is no miracle solution... this is why leaf land is in a state of perpetual negativity... fan base is so busy looking for a saviour
really... what difference would nash make? or getzlaf? or any other star?
very little in the overall scheme of things... they would come here under an umbrella of hype, and ultimately dissapoint since there is no humanly possible way they could live up to fan expectation. |

how, we have maybe 7 good NHL players, if we can keep six of them and trade one with spare parts for a star are we not better off? |

still dont believe army was a mistake.. he's suffered injury after injury and is now out of game shape.. more unfortunate than anything
however, i do agree that bringing in someone like ott would require moving a lombardi, army, etc (similar salary) |

Nope.
You need to be within 5 years of their age if they're under the age of consent. a 19 year old can take advantage of a 14 year old who's had a sniff of VEX
My way of telling if she's 16 is if she squeels in pain at first then wants to marry you after |
