Hahaha, you are not giving him up, but if that was offered, even forgetting the pick....deal!
- kingcong39

If we traded a McNeill for a Gaustad, THAT's when I would ask for Bowman's resignation. That's what I mean when I say I'd rather him not make any deals if this is the best return we can get for a Mark McNeill.

I don't think Gausted is worth a 1st for a rental. Nor is he worth a 2nd straight up either. I wouldn't deal anyone Chicago has in the system that is outside of the AHL for a rental.

I'd say an AHL prospect and a mid round pick.

- EKolb13

If Brendan Morrison is worth Brian Connelly, a Paul Gaustad is maybe worth a Shawn Lalonde + a 3rd or 4th.

I wouldn't mind seeing John Scott play in this game for one sole purpose..........beat the living cr*p out of this douche. Anyone notice a theme to his hits???? One day he will get his

Its always along the boards, puck carrier has his head down he takes advantage of the situation and jumps into the hit. But a constant theme is he never answers the bell when someone goes after him. IE: Ryan Kesler
Kronwall is a scumbag

Kronwall is a fantastic two-way defenseman. Most of his hits are clean. I'd take him on my team in 2 seconds.

They will get at least a 2nd for him.
Many teams want him.

The starting point is a 2nd, or a decent to good prospect.

Lalonde and a 5th sounds more like a fair deal for Gausted.

Just McNeill then?

No thanks to Pirri.
Buffalo does not need another undersized forward, and especially a center, when they already have Ennis & Roy.

- kingcong39

Sorry, Mark McNeill WILL NOT be traded for a bottom 6 player. I like Goos dont get me wrong, but you're not taking McNeill for him.

They likely want a forward prospect. Lots of young dmen in the system already knocking on the door. Dont even know where Lalonde would fit.

They would hang up the phone on you.
Buffalo has a ton of D, and more coming.
That is the last thing they need.

If Gausted fetches a pick and a prospect, and the pick is a 2nd, don't expect that you're getting much of a prospect in that deal.

Something people have to remember with this trade deadline, is that the deals are going to resemble the early contracts during FA; mass over-payments.

Gaustad is worth a 3rd round pick, straight up. During this TD? He could get a 3rd and a prospect, or even straight up go for a 2nd.

Kronwall is a very good D man , physical and clean. The Hawks need a player like that.

Exactly right.
They have a bunch coming up, including an animal named Brayden McNabb, and they also really like both Nick Crawford and Mark Pysyk.

You know, it really annoys me now that EVERY clean hit has to be "answered for". Take the hit or don't. If you do, make sure you return the favor later or keep your head up next time.

Guys answering the bell for dirty hits is one thing. I don't think they should have to do it for EVERY hit.

I know this is off topic, but did anyone see Adam French's blog about the Coyotes staying in Phoenix?

Ennis has been moved to center almost since his return from injury and he has looked very good there.
I doubt you need yet another center.

Since when can you leave your feet to hit someone? That Kesler hit looked pretty dirty to me

I'm actually friends with TJ Brennan. He's told me numerous times he loves Buffalo and never wants to leave.
