With this game in mind, I would like to know who you would move off the roster when everyone is healthy?
When Hammer, Monty, and Johnny return we will have 25 bodies. |

Just got back from the UC. Here is a little trip report:
Kane
Hell of a game! It's nice to see him play with some determination and guts. He took the puck to the net, and it was beautiful. We all know the kid has hands, but he's also incredibly quick when he wants to be. Seeing him bring that consistently would be very nice.
Hayes
Had a very good game. Good with the puck in the O zone. Good around the net.
Kruger
Another goal in front of the net. I love it.
Olsen
You can tell he understands the importance of a game vs. Detroit. He brought it tonight. This kid will be good.
Sharp
So many chances at the doorstep tonight. Seemed a bit hesitant.
Crawford
Solid. Feels real good to type that. I can see his confidence. His glove was on point tonight.
On an aside - we've assembled this winning streak with out our supposed 3 and 4 dmen. What the hell does this mean to our team, and our defensiveness unit? |

It's not crazy at all. The kid is a natural left side Dman who is playing on the right side - not easy for a 20 year old in the NHL. He's a much better player than Montador already. Skates well, bangs some bodies, some nastiness. You could make the argument that Keith has started to play better paired with Olsen. The only thing to worry about is lack of experience in the playoffs. - RickJ
It is crazy - he will make rookie mistakes at the worst time in a playoff game or 2. |

Niemi in relief tonight gave up three on only eleven shots. Two were PP, but still. - NewToHockey
He started and got pulled when it was 3-0 after about 15 minutes.....1 on the PP. |

Unless Stan Bowman clones himself and makes a trade with his clone, no GM in the NHL will take Morrison. he's used up, washed up, finished.
Morrison was brought in as a dependable center who could win draws, yet in a late game situation we let Kruger and Bolland (two crappy faceoff guys) take draws (and lose them) to Zetterberg, who is good on draws.
If we cant run Morrison out in those situations...situations he is GOOD at then what the hell is he good for?
Either Bowman got a stiff or Q doesn't know what the hell he is doing. Everyone in the free world knew neither Kruger nor Bolland were going to win those faceoffs against Hank Z.
this time it didn't cost us. - kwolf68
Morrisson actually did win a few important draws tonight. I think the reason he wasn't out there was because he's not much of a defensive forward compared to Bolland and Kruger. Unless he's going against Toews, chances are Zetterberg wins the FO so you can either have some old guy who might break his shin or you can have two of your best defensive forwards out there. All in all I think Morrisson played well tonight. I'd gladly trade that connelly kid for a very important win over detroit. Of course Pirri may have been just as successful but meh, rather rely on a vet than a rookie if you don't know what you're gonna get. |

Was still very bad. Didn't show any signs of life till late 2nd period and 3rd. It's so bad I'd like to decline the man advantage.

I'm pretty sure it'll only be 24. Monty is on IR. O'D, Hammer and Toews were scratched. That means only one spot needs to be opened. |

Very good sign on Olsen. I know when I played D for a while, I could never get fully comfortable on the off side (probably too OCD). To pull it off at his age and at this level is indeed impressive. Agreed Rick, these rooks are playing well, but the playoffs are a different animal. |

What do you bet that Bowman takes the easy route and sends down Hayes and Olson. |

Currently, my favorite part of Olsen's game are the number of shots he gets to the net. Maybe he can teach Keith a thing or two in that dept. |

Personally, and some will call me crazy, I would be willing to trade Hammer. He brings the best return of our tradeable players, I think, and he doesn't bring all that much to our team. Yes he blocks shots but that is really all he does. He doesn't hit or engage much anymore and he's a detriment to the offense. There are plenty of other defensemen who block shots and they usually bring some nice physicality and grit too. They also come at about half the cost. I say trade hammer for the forwards and sell bickell and frolik high (both had great defensive games tonight although fro still can't score) for a #4 D-man. |

San Jose is enjoying their 9 game roadie as much as the Blackhawks did:
@ STL -L
@ Wash - W
@ TB - OTL
@ CAR - L
@ DET - L
@ CBJ - L
@ TOR
@ NSH
@MIN
1-4-1 so far, and could finish as bad as the Blackhawk's recent trip.

I said when Monty, Hammer and Toews return, that makes 25. This is a very important decision for Bowman, do you move your two rookies down? They are both playing better than any two you keep. |

HARD FOUGHT, white-knuckle win.
C2 outstanding after the suspect 1st goal.
Jimmy Hayes big goal and helper to fuel the W.
Kaner: FLYING out there. Best he's looked in awhile.
Leddy: Solid game from my whipping boy and have to salute his effort big time tonight.
Seabs: eats a bullet and doesn't miss a shift.
Kruger: redeems himself with the GWG after a terrible penalty 30 ticks in.
4 in a ROW for the Tomahawk - philco28
was at the game...the place was just electric in that 2nd and 3rd period....
goaltending was outstanding and the hawks just lapped the wings in the 2nd period..
easily could have potted 2 or 3 more.
defensively...quick with the sticks and hard working positionally.
man wanted to see Frolik bury that break away for both him and the team
but really Jon Scott on PK vs one of the bess PP in the league...what was up with that...and Hawk PP continues to be a downer. the entries just plain bad |

Brunette and Scott, and I wouldn't lose any sleep. I feel like the organization would instead rather show loyalty to both players and move down kids, against better judgement. |

Hammer and Toews are currently on the 23 man roster. Only Monador needs a spot created for him if he returns. |
