Big win. Especially impressive without #19 in the lineup. Go get the next one!

HARD FOUGHT, white-knuckle win.

C2 outstanding after the suspect 1st goal.
Jimmy Hayes big goal and helper to fuel the W.
Kaner: FLYING out there. Best he's looked in awhile.
Leddy: Solid game from my whipping boy and have to salute his effort big time tonight.
Seabs: eats a bullet and doesn't miss a shift.
Kruger: redeems himself with the GWG after a terrible penalty 30 ticks in.

4 in a ROW for the Tomahawk

Amazing effort.m first 20 were a little flat but they hung in and played an amazing final 40. Two dirty goals by two rookies. Great team win as guys stepped up big time without the captain. Kudos to Crawford with another big performance.

I also love Dylan Olsen. Sure he makes rookie mistakes but he blocks shots, plays physical, skates well and has a nice shot. Hope he continues to develop up here and is a fixture moving forward.

Oh and about that power play... It's ok to shoot and not make the fancy play. Time to put Hayes in front of the net. One thing I like about Detroit is they always put the puck on net. Even when they have nothing they throw it in front and hope for a rebound. Hawks need to do that more often.

NOW I'll give Crawford credit: two terrific wins in a row for him. This is what he needs to be.

Second low-scoring, come-from-behind win in a row.

Hayes was excellent, but how can Crawford not be star of the game - at least 2nd.

Best win of the year - Sunday's was moved down to second best.

The Hawks waiting will hurt them in the long run, at least related to immmediate help.As the Bolts have already traded Downie I believe it would take a 1st and a high end prospect to get Purcell. Clark could be had for a 3rd but Thompson will require a 2nd and a prospect

Boy what would it mean for this team if Crawford continues with this play. Looks like hes keeping his net and hes playing his positional style again. GREAT GAME Crawford.

4 in a row..........Andru should have took all the bets

are the hawks ever going to get a 2c for hoss? they have about a 3 yr window with him and they keep trotting out not prime time 2nd line centers for the guy. someone like brassard or grabovski would just be crazy - too drastic, don't break up the band!
lets give sb another year to prove nothing. don't judge on record to this point, give him more time
and whatever you do, don't get a power forward to play along toews so he can stop taking the beating all by himself. that would be stupid. keep the smurfs together!
and now that they are showcasing big john on the PK, don't go get someone like schenn or jurcina that could actually provide something to this team. keep sending scott out while lepisto sits on the bench.
and never mind the fact that all of those guys are equally young as the "core" that is untouchable. and whatever you do, don't bring in a bigger 3 or 4C like gaustad...thats just silly talk....we have big john that can do anything and protect all.
the best comparison I have seen today is tampa after winning the cup -kept the core together, believed too long, spotty goaltending at best since. and now rebuilding
everyone has detroit love... be like the wings.......well, get some size and grit that can play. bertuzzi (piece of crap human), holstrom, franzen...not exactly a smurfs playing on the perimeter
don't judge the team based on the past year and half, give em more time to get it right
kumbaya my lord, kumbaya...oooooooooh lord kumbaya

Excellent summary. The Hawks once gain show they can compete with the best when they play smart, aggressive hockey.

Does anybody still feel we should trade Crawford? Or Kaner?

Really good grinding win--coming from behind AND keeping the door closed has gotta help confidence after that abysmal losing streak.

He was a beast. He controlled significant parts of the game almost by himself.

One thing that does concern me is he seems to think he can go one on four all the time. Some times he just needs to dump it.

Nice to see two ugly goals in the same game. If you added up Kruger's seven goals this year, would they total 50 feet? The little guy is fearless in the crease.
