He doesn't seem to be able to find the right balance: either too deep or loses net.
Now it's too deep.... - StLBravesFan
Bad coaching plain and simple. Can't go post to post without drifting 5 miles out into Lake Michigan. Too deep in his net on the Lepisto turnover in Columbus. Tonight again, and leaving a foot of twine to shoot at. Very frustrating watching him this year. |

Actually, you can - after watching Howard make 2 great saves on the 2nd PP while Crawford couldn't make a much easier one. |

Absolutely BRUTAL penalty by Kruger. You can't take that kind of penalty 30 seconds into a game. Hell, you can't take that penalty at any time, especially against a good team. If Lepisto or Stalberg take that penalty, they don't see the ice for the rest of that period and probably longer. Weak goal given up on the power play by Crawford. You know, even when he plays well, he almost always gives up at least one soft goal per game. Maybe you get away with that in the regular season, but not in the playoffs.

Correct but you are missing my point. Comparing last years Bruins to this years Hawks is apples to oranges. For instance the Eastern conference last year and also for the most part this year, is a much weaker conference then the West. Plus, going into the trade deadline the then Bruins had less holes compared to the now hawks. All I'm saying is....with all the holes the Hawks have....inconsistent goaltending.....no depth on d......no fourth line....special teams inconsistent and at times um......"poopty".....etc....so again is one or two moves going to fix this......uh no. Will one or two moves make you better than Detroit.....Nashville.....Vancouver......San Jose.....St Louis?......uh no. I think the best action is to make a couple of low risk moves and wait till the offseason.....and if Stanbo gives us another off season like he did last year then it's time to fire him. - UnnamedSource

WOW!!! How many Hawks marketing people get paid to post on this site!!
This is a sellers market, and a limited one at that. Identify who fits your system the best and pony up what it takes to get them. Not tough. Problem is, our GM doesn't want to pony up, and a lot of the quality is being taken out of the market. What's he going to say now that moves ARE being made? "WE DIDN'T WANT TO TRADE A SUREFIRE HALL OF FAMER, BRANDON SAAD, TO HELP THIS TEAM POSSIBLY WIN THIS YEAR....."
Maybe the spinmasters at 1901 W. Madison better come up with a commercial of Stan with the Stanley Cup before the mobs with torches head to the UC. - hawks2010
Im sick of people saying this and its starting piss me off I dont work for the Hawks dbag I simply dont complain about everything little thing. How stupid can you be that someone disagrees with the moves YOU think the Hawks should make playing armchair GM so you somehow put together they work for the team. Fcccing stupid. |

Is it just me, or is Fornataro not on an NHL contract, whereas Segal is. Perhaps this trade was to open up a space on the 50 man contract max, leaving the Hawks at 47. - ozzzie19
Oh what maybe an aspect all the GM's on this site missed. |

God forbid our goalie has a shutout - is in position to make that save.
If he shuts down Detroit the rest of the game I'll give him credit. |

Dude's playing with confidence for the first time since October but everyone is ready to crap all over him the second any team scores a goal. You don't turn things around by snapping your fingers. That's a save he shouldn't even have to make because Detroit should've been retrieving the puck in their end. |
