We should have a percentage pool on whether or not Burke makes a move for an impact player before/on the deadline.
I'm in for 25%. I think he wants to, but if the trades aren't there, they aren't there. He won't drastically overpay.

BUF Gets: Nash, Dorsett, and 2012 4th round pick.

Columbus wants a top 6 winger - Check
Columbus wants a top 4 D-man - Check
Columbus wants a goalie prospect - Check
Columbus wants a good F prospect - Check
Columbus wants a 1st round pick - Check

Even as a Buffalo fan I THINK I would be for this. If I had to chose between Vanek's 7+M for the next few season or Nash's 7+M til 2017... I would take Nash.

Could you imagine how unstoppable a Nash-Sedin-Sedin line would be though? I am in no way a Canucks fan, but for pure hockey enjoyment I would love to see that line come together.

I agree. I'm sure the bidding teams are hoping for the cap to go up a couple mill aswell.

I know vancouver has the horses for a trade just that huge cap hit is concerning

He has built a considerable amout of tradeable assets,if he where to move some of these and draft in the top5 to 10 this season the rewards would be great,but iam a sens fan and much of what i say will be construed as trolling

The Sens fans have their trolls. I do not generally think you are among them.

They started to sound a lot like Vancouver and Buffalo fans when the Sens started having more success than anyone predicted this year.

Its 2013 not 2012 pick though.

11-20 is a more fair assessment.

Both Richards got less.
Nashs contract should lower his value IMO.
