We still have some bandages and ointment left from Foppa's short stint in Nashville. I'd love to see Hemsky on our IR. - Hyata74

Just talked to someone within the Florida Panthers organization and word is that Jason Garrison and Howden have been dangled around for either Nash or a Carter trade.
Garrison is a UFA after this season and has high value currently, should be back soon from an upper body injury.
Howden is one of our MANY top prospects that has been mentioned in trade talk.
Do I see this happening? NO. But I do see them fooling with the idea of trading Garrison only because we are already strong on defense and have PLENTY of D prospects coming up (Petrovic, Robak etc...) and that he's a UFA. Anyone looking for PP help and reliability on D would be interested. Hardest shot in the NHL behind Weber and Chara. |

Do you or your fake friend in the Florida Panthers organization really think Florida is on Nash's short list?

He should have just said he was using the trade option on his NHL 12...he would have had more credibility.

Dale Tallon is interested in adding a couple of players to his roster before the trade deadline takes affect in just over a week.
The Panthers have the necessary room to add to their lineup, as the club is looking for a top-six forward and a two-way center.
"We're not sellers," Tallon told the South-Florida Sun-Sentinel earlier this week. "We got (four) games before the deadline, so we'll know better. We got a good team, so it's a matter of adding pieces. We're moving forward from here; we're not subtracting."
It's believed the Panthers have inquired about the services of Columbus Blue Jackets center Jeff Carter and Buffalo Sabres center Paul Gaustad, though it's unclear how advanced talks are.
The Panthers have a lot of depth on the blueline and could move one of their young defenseman for extra fire power front.
"The worst-case scenario is we're staying pat," Tallon said.

Leading the division, likely to make the play offs for the first time in forever, I can't see them trading away a decent D man.

they want Jeff Carter's contract, awesome!
and if your Gaustad do u want to go to FLA where your likely not going to get a shot at the cup or go to a Detroit or Boston where your chances are greatly improved

All that says is that Tallon picked up his phone and asked Howson what kind of package he wants for Carter. I'd be surprised if almost every GM in the league didn't do the same. |

Gaustad is useless, Carter I would take. I hope Tallon makes a pitch for Hemsky. we need a pure goal scorer, Huberdeau is next year, we need someone this year. |

4 in a row is a hell of a feat, but it was 30 years ago so I don't think it carries much weight for today's team. |

-carter is available to any team in the league, not nash.
-nash wont play in florida, even if he does, the panthers arent getting him without giving up gudbranson+huberdeau. columbus would want markstrom but no way florida gives him up which proves even more this wont happen.
-jason garrison...really? one good year and he's a main piece in the nash trade? howden hasnt proved anything at the nhl level.
even eklund isnt dumb enough to post nash to florida, stop dreaming. |
