Why not rip Schenn, then, too? His October - December was called pathetic here too.
- Flyskippy

He missed all of training camp, had a broken foot, and a concussion in the first handful of games he played. Not to mention he's a rookie. Not sure how comparing a first year player, equates to a veteran goaltender.

Del Zotto, Stepan, Kreider, plus a draft pick?
I think they would run Sather out of town if he did that.
Columbus rebuilds in one fell swoop if they could pull that off.

Del Zotto, Stepan, and a pick.

Nope. Not until I see some competent play. As a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure Laviolette is going to shelter Bryzgalov from the big bad Winnipeg fans tomorrow night.
- PLindbergh31

I would bet my peanuts on it. Lava will try and protect him.

I'm hopeful Bryzgalov will put it together, but I will not endorse a guy when he has let in so many bad goals this season.

The Winnipeg game would be a great one for him to get on his horse. The fans will be after him, the Jets seem to own Philly and he has a chance tommorow.

I'd love for him to have a solid game tommorow. It will be playoff atmosphere, Flyers better be ready.

IDK, telling fans they care too much when they offer some encouragement? Doesn't seem right to me. But what do I know.

Just my way of saying 'we missed you'.

If they know they can't/won't resign Carle, do you think they would trade him?

He might be worth a number one pick to somebody, if Grossman was a 2nd and 3rd.

It seems very far fetched with the Flyers picking up two blue liners recently, but for a 1st rounder, especially if they can't re sign him?

Before the draft, they will get nothing back.

I heard the flyers are still talking Nash and they are also still talking to the leafs about schenn
- griouxmvp2012

That makes the Grossman or Kubina trade all but worthless. Why give up 2 draft picks for a 7th dman if we're just going to get Schenn?

You "know" an unsubstantiated claim from a website of dubious origin and are passing judgment on Bryzgalov based upon it. Sounds like that would get thrown out in court.

Yet Darren Drager just tweeted that the Flyers are out on Nash because the price was too high
- Phifly10

He says that things can change but the flyers are out at the Current asking price And he ThinksThe rangers are the front runners

I would agree with you Nutter, but I think Bobrovsky has been so bad that he doesn't deserve a start. There isn't a great option right now. I think you have to just leave Bryzgalov in for better or worse right now. Just ride him and see what happens.

I'm looking at his overall numbers this season. I want to see consistency.
- PLindbergh31

I know. I think thats what everybody wants to see from bryz. I think he's getting there he has played well this month in particular (obviously except for that last game)

Schenn doesn't make sense anymore, unless they are moving Carle/Coburn (which seems highly doubtful).

I think we'll see one-more minor move - perhaps a depth forward/penalty killer.

- BoomGoesTheCoburn

I think they should stand pat for now.

Given away enough picks and I think the price for a Gaustad/Pahlsson is too high.

Brayden Schenn is two goals shy of becoming the Flyers 11th double-digit scorer. Pretty incredible stuff.

I'd go with Bryz. Absolutely, give him the next few games before going back to Bob.

They need the big guy to get on some kind of roll. He can prove a lot tommorow, I hope he looks at it that way instead of being in a pressure cooker. Believe me, he will have it rougher than anyone in Winnipeg. If he gives up the first goal, or a weak one. Look out.

What about Briere then.... he hasn't exactly been a model of consistency himself

Maybe the story is made up. Who knows. Seems like going a long way to make something up to me.

It's one thing to support Bryzgalov, but constantly making excuses for him, and thinking the fans and media are to blame for his ineptitude is simply wrong.

Snider said last year after the revolving goalie crap, and I quote "Never again" well it's 9 months later and it's the same garbage at 3x the price.

What value does Carle hold to Toronto? He's an UFA and Toronto would be looking for future pieces......

The thing with Briere.

He has had seasons where his regular season play is questionable on both ends of the ice. He has always come up big in the playoffs.

If he keeps doing that, I will have little complaints. Danny needs a puck possesion guy on his line to do his best work.
