Love the A's. Hate Manny. So conflicted (mostly because I love and hate baseball at the same time). - Flyskippy
I'm right there with you. I was at the Coliseum for Game Five of the 2003 ALDS - surrounded by Boston fans. Manny hits a moonshot off of Zito (when he was GOOD) and literally walks to first base taunting the A's dugout. Needless to say, the Boston fans in my vicinity thought it was a riot - but I swore off that POS right then and there. It will be strange to see him putzing around in the Green and Gold.
Does anybody like Paul Gustaud? Is he a possibility or a pipe dream. He'd really round out the team. If you throw him into the mix with the new defensive additions it sure looks like a formidible group of skaters.

Excellent!
Saw them a couple years back at the Borgata, and got to talk with a few of them after the show. It was nice to shake Richie's hand before he passed. - tangent_man
But no Lowell George, then either, right?
Great band!

I think many on here are enamored with him, myself included. However, the asking price may very well be a first-rounder. And with the recent acquisitions (read, loss of draft picks) I don't think I'm willing to pay.
Officer: What the hell you driving here?
Candy:We had a small fire last night, It may not be pretty to look at , but it will get you to where you want to go.
Officer: Do you realize how fast you were going?
Candy: No, the dashboard is melted so to know with any degree of certainty...
Officer 88 MPH
Candy: I can by that sure sure...you would know better then us since the speedometer is melted.
Officer: So you have no working mirrors?
Candy: No not a one
Officer: But the radio works...haha , everything comes in clear as a bell...dont ask me how...

If he can be had for the right price. Holmer has shipped out quite a few picks already. Not sure what is left in the cupboard and they probably have to clear a roster spot. I dunno. Maybe Harry Z and a mid round pick? Buffalo probably would chuckle at though. If he is available, I'd imagine they could get more than that. Then again...they signed Leino to that lousy contract so maybe Holmer could pull a Zhitnik for Coburn type deal on them

Thanks, maybe Homer can pull a Gustaud out of a hat.

Just got off the links after 54 holes in Hilton Head, SC. For anyone who likes golf, it's a must to visit. I played 3 courses, each one better than the next. Simply stellar. Nothing more relaxing then playing golf (when you are playing well) a fair amount of my clubs have found the bottom of water when I play like poop.
Anyway, I saw this article that I found interesting. Apparently Bryzgalov told a young kid at the Carnival "he cares too much" when the kid was just offering some encouragement.
