Only because there's not an "eh" smiley. Never got into them. I don't love them but I don't hate them, either. They're okay.

There's a small selection of Rush I really, really enjoy. Then I hear anything else by them and I find it dreadful. |

If figured Grossman would be a better fit for Carle. Especially how he likes to join the rush. Well, Mez does too. |

I can't see ANOTHER goalie coming in here this season. I really think Bryzgalov will be fine once he gets over himself and this team gets past this wall most of the players have hit. Early in the season we had a lot of success because teams hadn't played all these new players and we were winning. Teams are starting to figure us out some. It's up to the coaches to make the team less predictable and the players to execute the plays drawn up. Bob will be a very good goalie when he hits his prime in 6 years. Do I know for certain? No. But I like what I see from him. Bryz is getting used to a different system. Different players. It takes time. His first year in a "hockey city" like Philly must be ridiculously overwhelming. He needs to settle in and time with his team. If Pronger were here, I can almost say with certainty that this season would be a little bit more different. But it is what it is. Is Bryz nutty? Oh yeah. Has he let in some of the softest goals? Oh yeah. Does he then put together some strong games after bad ones? Oh Yeah. Is he a very good goalie? Oh yeah. When this team comes together, watch out. Seriously, watch-the-f*%k out. - Deasr1
Nice post. I forget what a healthy flyers team looks like. It's been a while. |

wonder if they'll still mess with a forward on the point on the pp
or maybe just use some combinations of carle, kimmo, kubina, meszy |

Permission to come aboard? - Deasr1
It is sink or swim time for him. They may as well give him the vast majority of the remaining games. Barring that pesky injury bug, I wouldn't start Bob in unless it is a back to back situation or unless Bryz craps it badly in sequential starts.

Earlier I suggested Timmo-Kubina on one unit and Carle-Mez on the other. You got a hands guy and a shot guy up top on both units. That'd be how I roll anyway. |

I was wondering same thing -- I'm in Texas til March 5, so I couldn't see it for myself today at practice. But I suspect they'll at least start out by going with Timonen and Kubina on the first unit.

Pairings can always change, but Meszaros and Kubina both prefer to play the right side and Grossman prefers the left (although he's played some RD in Dallas).

Leight!
Just seems logical to start there. Carle and Mezy seems like a logical second unit pair to me but we'll see what Lavy does.
Keep up the great work Bill. Keep your head down in Texas |

Sarah's better than Panaccio, Miller, Carchidi, and Seravalli. Only Bill Meltzer, Anthony San Filippo, and Dave Isaac are better. I might be forgetting one or two, though. |
